Further to our earlier discussion about the US having found a way to dispose of its scrap metal and at the same time create a pretext (with the help of Israel?) for WWIII, here is the latest news report (bolding mine):

The Pentagon is rushing a “mothership” to the Middle East to be used by commando teams as unrest in the region heightens, reports The Washington Post.

The U.S. Navy is planning to refit the USS Ponce, an amphibious transport docking ship, which was about to be retired and decommissioned.

The Ponce was commissioned in 1971 - it's now over 40 years old. Wikipedia reports:

On 2 December, 2011, Ponce came home to await decommissioning on 30 March, 2012, when she would be towed to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and be placed with the mothball fleet

And now "she" is headed to the Gulf. How much clearer could it be that a false flag event is planned?

All orchestrated by the so-called democratic, civilized countries where minds are so disconnected from current reality that outrage is reserved for those who fail to commemorate a genocide that took place ~~60 years ago~~ almost 70 years ago.

The Associated Propaganda tube is admitting that there are covert "special" operations going on in these war-ravaged places, pretending it's a new kind of operation. New my foot. Nobody knows who those suicide bombers are; nobody ever did know, except for those "special" dudes. Nothing is so conducive to chaos as your everyday, average, "secret war".

If you can stomach it, read this transcript of an exchange regarding whether or not the US met with the Taliban to negotiate. I've long wondered what school these spokespersons attend to learn how to just keep on talking while saying nothing at all.

Are any of these people going to wake up some day and realize they are just ordinary minds who had a hand in the destruction of whole civilizations? Our own nations deserve to fail for what we have allowed to happen; for what so many of our people have directly participated in.

When I look at Obama in his sleek suits, when he flashes that self-satisfied, toothsome smile and speaks with his perfect diction, knowing the blood he willingly dips his hands into every day, it's enough to almost make me believe there is such an entity as an "anti-Christ".

I have no doubt, however, that the spirt of anti-Christ resides in the hearts of people who call themselves Christians yet lack the faintest understanding of christ consciousness. They are the ones who equate War with Peace.

List: False Flag Events

A few stories have collided recently from which I can only conclude that the US is attempting to provoke Iran into attacking one of its carriers, of which it seems to have several in need of recycling.

For me, this all started when I wrote this on January 7. It seemed clear that the US had butted into something that the Iranians could just as easily have handled themselves, and Iran showed considerable restraint in thanking the US for its help in capturing the pirates who stole one of its fishing boats.

In what the New York Times called "a geopolitical thriller", the USS Stennis had arrived in the gulf just in time to take on board some pirates captured on a "Bahamian flagged" boat, feed them, and then release them back into the wild so they could be followed to their "mothership", a stolen Iranian fishing boat. Those "pirates" are in US custody, being fed again no doubt ... and released again?

I pointed out that "Bahamian flagged" doesn't necessarily mean Bahamian owned, and that this is from where the term "false flag" derives.

Commenter "userdude" provided a link that indicated what the US really wanted was a confrontation; they have several old carriers that are basically now scrap metal they wouldn't mind seeing blown to bits.

Since then, a couple of people have mentioned this January 23 WRH item to me, which focused on the USS Enterprise, an old tub in need of recycling. In fact, "Timmy Timbit" included it as a comment here.

So, yes, Michael Rivero at WRH, I agree with you and am happy to post a link to your suspicion that a false flag attack may be in the works, and your hope that this knowledge may help to forestall such an event.

Related: See this article about the reported need to cut down on the number of carriers due to budget limitations, but they've all been sent to the Gulf anyway. Among them, along with the Enterprise which is 50 years old, is the USS Vicksburg which could be 20 years old or 50 years old, depending on which Vicksburg they actually sent.

There was speculation that budget pressures would force the Pentagon to scale back the number of carriers, perhaps to 10, and Mr Panetta’s predecessor, Robert Gates, questioned maintaining 11 ships.

But the US Congress has expressed strong support for the current US carrier fleet and has passed a law requiring the Defence Department to maintain all 11 of the ships.

Looks like it's budget time again. They call this story "unfolding"? Into what? There's no information at all; the headlines are just come-ons.

Just what a potential spy might have been after and for whom has been the subject of frenzied speculation.

I feel the opposite of frenzied; bored, in fact, but I'll speculate: precious little is all he could have been after, because there's precious little Canada does without a phone call from the White House.

You really ought to read "Covert Entry". There's an earlier Russian spy case in there that went just as nowhere as this one, but allowed CSIS to spend like drunken sailors and hire all sorts of poorly investigated lackies to read the mail of the suspected spies, along with a bunch of other people's as well.

Meanwhile, there are Israeli spies turning up here every year without any notice by CSIS because only the invaders' neighbours care about Canada's security, are without vested interests, and have their wits about them.

Canada, as represented by the Harper eschatological "Christians", blindly supports the most dangerous country in the world - Israel.

Everything being said about Iran is a projection of the true nature of its enemies. Somewhere there must be hidden away from view a mouldy, ragged, maggot-infested portrait of Iran's detractors, while they present themselves to the world as well-dressed, impeccably coifed, charming and reasonable human beings.

I have to talk about this because on the same page as the following article there is a video of Obama singing like Al Green, and he is so-o-o cute - on the outside.

EU set to turn screws on Iran

THE European Union is preparing to launch an unprecedented attack on Iran's economy at a moment when experts believe the confrontation over the country's nuclear ambitions is entering a dangerous new phase.

Maybe it doesn't mean to, but this article points out the absolute injustice, ludicracy and hidden motives of the confrontation with Iran. For the West, it's oil and a pathway to China and Russia, and for Israel it's the subjugation of Islamists who don't seem to recognize their perceived inferior, yea even primitive status.

Let's take it paragraph by paragraph:

Officials note that a series of events - ranging from the storming of the British Embassy in Tehran to the regime's threats to disrupt oil supplies in the Gulf - prove that Iranian decision-making is becoming more belligerent and unpredictable.

It's always unnamed "officials" managing our perceptions these days. These ones reveal that although Britain is making vague but dire threats, Iran is the country we are expected to believe is "belligerent" and "unpredictable".

Meanwhile, Greece, Italy and Spain can just make "alternative arrangements" and what happens if the British embassies end up being stormed there as well? These could be genuine civilian protests, not false flag ones carried out by infiltrators as I'm certain happened in Iran.

Iran should be able to find other customers, notably India and China, but officials expect them to drive a hard bargain and insist on lower prices, costing Iran billions of dollars.

Has China whispered to these "officials" that it will help out where it can in this endeavour? I can see India - a nuclear power we don't worry about because they've been bought with jobs that used to belong to North Americans - helping to turn the screws. But is China so worried about trade relations with the West that it would help do in an ally?

If China decides to play fair with Iran, will that be the opening to justify hostilities with China, and by extension Russia? Because remember there's oil under all that melting ice in the Arctic, and that's why we hear Harper and Petie MacKay badmouthing Russia from time to time, and trotting up north occasionally to pee on the threshold.

Makes you wonder if it's really "global warming" melting the ice, doesn't it, or maybe something else?)

The oil sanctions are likely to be balanced with an offer to negotiate. But because of the consequences for its economy, Iran may ignore any conciliatory gesture and view the step as an escalation, possibly even a precursor to war.

Bad Iran for thinking this is an escalation and a precursor to war. But who would be so stupid as to think otherwise? And who in their right minds would see "an offer to negotiate" as "conciliatory" given its true nature as an either/or ultimatum?

Nobody wants Iran to negotiate. They want Iran to make some kind of rash move (remember the word "unpredictable" above?) that will justify a war that's been in the works since as least 2003 when Iraq was taken down - and for the same phony reasons.

This is already happening even though (or maybe because?) Israel is smarting from steadily increasing condemnation for its unilateral actions, including its covert war in Iran - despite that US and Israeli named officials have stated Iran does not have nukes, nor will they have nukes even close to imminently.

Israel, Pakistan and India have 'em, though. Of course Iran wants them because considering what's pointed at them, they think it would make them feel safer. But Iran signed the non-proliferation treaty! And who never did? Israel, Pakistan and India. Facts about the Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) - PDF file.

Even a named British official says Iran is not intending to build a nuclear bomb:

''Iran is looking for a latent nuclear weapons potential or capability and not for nuclear bombs,'' said Peter Jenkins, Britain's permanent representative to the International Atomic Energy Agency between 2001 and 2006. That would put it in the same category as Japan and Germany, which have the technology to make nuclear weapons.

See that? In "the same category as Japan and Germany". But those countries are not sanctioned. And given the bizarre beliefs of a high percentage of Westerners who think Jesus is on his way back to earth any time now to waft them up and away from the mess they've helped create, it's even more bizzare and schizoid to characterize Iran as being run by "primitive religious fanatics".

The final paragraph reveals that Israel is more belligerent and unpredictable than Iran has managed to be so far. I'm convinced now that Israel really is the most dangerous country in the world:

The US military's top official held talks on Friday with Israeli leaders to try to co-ordinate responses to Iran's nuclear program. US Joint Chiefs of Staff chairman General Martin Dempsey, before talks with Israeli Defence Minister Ehud Barak, appeared to reflect concern about possible Israeli plans to move independently to strike Iran's nuclear facilities.

Added to all of Israel's self-made problems is the looming popularity of a one-state solution. How desperate will its hawks become?

The Samson Option:
In 2003, Martin van Creveld, a professor of military history at Israel’s Hebrew University, thought that the Al-Aqsa Intifada then in progress threatened Israel's existence. Van Creveld was quoted in David Hirst's "The Gun and the Olive Branch" (2003) as saying:

"We possess several hundred atomic warheads and rockets and can launch them at targets in all directions, perhaps even at Rome. Most European capitals are targets for our air force. Let me quote General Moshe Dayan: 'Israel must be like a mad dog, too dangerous to bother.' I consider it all hopeless at this point. I have no polished ready-to-post prose for you today. I find I have been reaching my personal point of despair and despondence earlier and earlier each day lately, reading about what goes on in the world. Beyond this point, I become an addle-minded deaf mute.

And of course the good doctor gives the impression that it's mostly immigrants doing this. Immigrants don't have any natural parental warmth, you know. They're basically savages with the urge to kill anything they don't like. We have to watch them all the time to make sure they act like us.

For instance, we only allow killing if a uniform or a white coat is worn. And we're not xenophobic, oh no. We don't even know what cultural superiority is. But we do think that brown-skinned immigrants should be watched more closely than "white", civilized ones. Even those of us whose skin is brown, but have assimilated nicely, feel superior to the folks back home.

I'm alright, Jack; pull up the ladder.

If the government is ever going to be able to justify much more stringent immigration policy, this sort of campaign is necessary. And it's working. Here's what one commenter below the article had to say:

It's a simple matter: abortion is either legal or it isn't. And if it is, then the reasons need to be left between a human and her conscience and/or god.

Doctors are control freaks; in fact it's commonly known that it's practically a prerequisite for being accepted into medical school.

In some cultures (for example, in some parts of Asia), this kind of behavior is to some extent expected of everyone! Unfortunately, obsessive-compulsives often exhaust themselves. Obsessive-compulsive personality is more common among men than women, and is often found in fundamentalist groups of any religion, where strict rule-adherence is paramount. In some societies, especially hierarchical (vs egalitarian) and sociocentric (vs egocentric), this kind of behavior is considered normal, not pathological.

The "son preference" is universal. In many cultures it is an inborn survival instinct - a son is insurance against hard times. There are many women who can attest to how they tried hard to be the son their dad wanted. Are physical murder and soul murder so much different?

Inside Mossad's war on Tehran
The murder of civilians divides Iran's critics -- and Israel's. Some find it repugnant, others see them as casualties in an undeclared war that is greatly preferable to the alternative of full-scale conflict.

It appears that the author of this article is hoping to sell it as a script for a Hollywood spy movie. As usual the quotes are attributed to unnamed sources, the US is made out to be "diplomatic" and Mossad to be an exciting cabal of evil geniuses.

About the only truly thought-provoking statement in the whole piece is the one quoted above. The rationalizing of the murder of non-combatants simply because it's war - and an "undeclared war" at that - shows an abysmal dearth of societal morality.

It may be preferable in some minds to all-out war, but it's also a deliberate provocation to bring it about while it's still only Israel that has the nukes.

The only sane way to stop Iran from wanting nukes is by its detractors getting rid of their own nukes. But they won't even sign the non-proliferation treaty.

Israeli refugee rights advocates are gravely concerned over an edict by a group of rabbis banning the renting of apartments near Tel Aviv to African asylum seekers. The edict has already caused some refugees to be informed that they will, within days, no longer be able to live in their apartments in the Tel Aviv suburb of Bnei Brak, according to asylum seekers who live there and the Hotline for Migrant Workers, a Tel Aviv advocacy group for migrants and refugees.

Seven rabbis in the area published a ruling calling on landlords to refrain from renting to "illegal residents and their ilk". The rabbis wrote that an influx of asylum seekers to the Pardes Katz neighborhood of Bnei Brak had reached "horrific proportions". About 27,000 asylum seekers have crossed into Israel from Egypt since 2005, with Eritreans making up the largest group, followed by Sudanese. In July, fifty Israeli liberal rabbis condemned a similar edict by a group of Tel Aviv rabbis, writing that banning rentals contradicted Jewish biblical values and was reminiscent of persecutions of Jews, including by Nazi Germany.

Johannes Bayu, director of the African Refugee Development Center in Tel Aviv said that people move to Bnei Brak not by choice but rather because it and a few other areas are the only places they can afford. He also said that "all the refugees there are eager to work and be productive" and that characterizations of violence and criminal activity "are exaggerated by the police, the government, by anyone who wants hatred to spread." Of the rabbis’ edict, he said, "this is sad and scary. This is how things begin. It could lead to violent attacks if people decide they don’t want to see them on the street at all."

I remember the waves on Long Beach in BC (see images). At first, I was kind of disappointed because the waves weren't very big. The Pacific is an enormous body of water and I don't why but I expected great crashing waves. Instead they were almost flat except for a tiny ridge at the crest. They were very, very wide.

The water seemed gentle but as I watched carefully and listened it became apparent that these were not gentle waves at all. They rolled in at a relentless pace - millions of litres of water rolling in over and over with a strange roaring, sucking sound that seemed it would consume anything in its way. It was massive, deceptive, all consuming and unstoppable.

This is how the build-up to this "glorious" WW3 feels to me.

God likes Tim Tebow best? Jesus doesn't think so.

In case you've read the title a little differently than intended, this is actually an addendum to Religion Stinks, written last June but which seems to have gotten attention only very recently. Check out the comments section, and you might agree that because of the way ordinary human intelligence is applied, it may actually be "a supreme misfortune to its bearer".

I've said this often before: blogging is a strangely serendipitous occupation - when one thought occurs, corresponding thoughts occur elsewhere and they collide to support one another. This is not God nor Satan at work. This is the collective unconscious doing its usual thing. It's all about focus.

Anyway, today I received a press release from a polling company stating that "43% of Americans believe divine intervention is at least partly responsible for the phenomenal success of the controversial Denver Broncos quarterback" Tim Tebow.

I'm not going to post their emailed article; you can get the information here.

Polls are iffy at best, and this poll was taken only of people who know about Tebow (which is plenty) but quite a lot of other polls have concluded that roughly 40% of Americans are Christians of the gullible sort. Unfortunately, they also tend to vote for evil tricksters who are crafty enough to use the word "God" in their speeches and claim that God "speaks through" them. We all have to pay for the sins of this misguided and downright dangerous mentality.

This is what is so stinky about religion, and why someone might draw the conclusion that a modicum of intelligence does not set humans above nature, but might actually be a detriment to our survival on this planet.

There is no "God" trying to make us focus on games nostalgic of high school so we don't notice illegal, immoral war games - euphemized as "interventions" for the gullible - and the stench of blood and premature death floating high in the atmosphere above the stadium - also called an "arena" as is the battlefield in a war.

Think about it: we all breathe the same air, and we're breathing in death and destruction every day, and I think it's making people crazy, or crazier than usual. There's very little logic anywhere, it seems.

Face it, if God is truly intervening in Tebow's career because he publicly drops to his knee before a game and bows his head, then Jesus was a dirty, despicable imposter, and is no Son of God.

It's amazing how Christians don't seem to know that Jesus called people like Tebow (and the pope, and TV evangelists, and "ministers" and imams, and rabbis) "hypocrites", and gave strict instructions on how to pray.

Tim Tebow is a flash in a huge pan, but nevertheless, may make the football hall of fame - a shrine visited more often but no less reverently than those to the gods. His success - which may be limited specifically to his ability to play a game, and not to his overall human character - is the result of determination, practice, and absolute faith in himself. Period.

I still remember Ms. Jolie's visit to Libya, shortly before Gadhafi was murdered, and how she "praised Libyan revolutionaries" and expressed her solidarity as they forged a new nation. While she was there she was taken on a tour of Misrata. She was never shown the devastation in Sirte that at the time was literally begging the international community for help - they had scarce medical supplies, a severe water and food shortage and huge numbers of victims from NATO's relentless bombing campaign.

Not even the Red Cross would go in. Witnesses claimed that the bombing seemed random, hitting civilian buildings in an effort to "terrorize the population into submission."

The massacre in Sirte is now being compared to that of Guernica.

Overall, there are estimates of up to 100,000 Libyan casualties in the so-called civil war.

There is also evidence that NATO used white phosphorous (which burned the victims on contact) and FAE (Fuel-Air Explosive) bombs that "burn all the oxygen in a determined area, suffocating all living beings within its radius of operation."

The photos in these articles are very difficult to look at and the video below is really hard to watch. I had to force myself, and I felt myself apologizing over and over to the people of Libya because my people - the Canadians, along with the US, UK France and the rest of NATO - did this to them, and to their beautiful children.

Angelina Jolie is a member of the CFR (Council on Foreign Relations) and is a long time volunteer for the UNHCR. Hailed as a so-called "champion of human rights" she now seems to be moving into directing movies about war-torn regions such as Bosnia and Afghanistan. I dread to think about the historical accuracy of her UN-approved works.

Fuck Angelina Jolie for being so goddammed ignorant - to not question anything. She has 6 children of her own, yet she smiles and praises the psychopaths who murder and maim other people's children.

And fuck anyone that looks up to her.

North Americans can never understand how horrible and psychopathic war is because none of us "righteous aggressors" has EVER been on the receiving end of any such attack - and likely never will.

Perhaps our appetite for war can only be cured if one day our own children were to lie dying in our arms because they have been torn to pieces by NATO bombs and we can do nothing for them but try to comfort them as they scream and writhe in pain.

I imagine Jolie will one day produce an inspirational film about the heroic Libyan Rebels and the nobel NATO forces who came to their aid.

CRA CPS-021 is a Policy Statement of the Canada Revenue Agency – therefore it is Government Policy. It is clear from CPS-021 that educating Canadians about the racist bylaws and operations of the Jewish National Fund (itself a registered charity in Canada), would qualify as a charitable activity.

Indeed as stated in CPS-021, Item 22:

The JNF promotes racial Inequality, the exact opposite of what the Canadian Government considers a charitable purpose under CPS-021.

Indeed CPS-021 reiterates that it “is the duty of every citizen”, including of course employees of the CRA, to educate Canadians about the racist nature of the JNF and to work towards the revocation of its charitable status.

I had no sooner copied a quote from a Wiki item in this blog post, than it disappeared from the Wiki. If you can't see it either, it's still alive in Google cache, but in case that disappears, here's a screen capture.

Here's what the full article under the heading 2012 said, and is recorded in Google cache:

UPDATE: January 7 - New York Times propaganda article: Bold Lie Turns Run-In at Sea Into Dramatic Rescue. The lie is the NYT's of course, which didn't pause to consider why Somali pirates would risk taking a stolen Iranian ship, that would be recognized as such, into the Gulf of Oman, instead of plying their trade off their own coastline. American war propagandists love to boast of how weak and cowardly their prey are, and the description of the "pirates" made them out to be so pathetic it seems more as if they were acting afraid, while knowing they had nothing to fear at all from the Americans.

Read the last few paragraphs where the pirates are taken onto the USS Kidd, then transferred to the Stennis, which, amazingly, had just arrived in the Gulf (Wiki article) in time for what the NYT bills as a "geopolitical thriller". Shades of the propaganda movie: "Saving Jessica Lynch" which was credibly discredited by hospital personnel.

The Wiki blurb adds a strange twist to the pirate capture: :"A boarding party captured the pirates who attacked the [Bahamian-flagged] Sunshine, fed them, then released them temporarily." The story is the released pirates were followed back to their "mothership" the stolen Iranian Al Mulahi, and the USS Kidd then took over the arrest of the whole lot, transferring them back to the Stennis, where one might easily suspect they were fed again and congratulated on a ruse well done.

Did you catch that "Bahamian-flagged"? Just flagged, not necessarily Bahamian. This is where the whole concept of "false flag" derives from. See UPDATE #2 here about above Wiki quote suddenly being removed from Wiki.

Amid escalating tension with Iran over its nuclear program, the Obama administration reveled in delivering Friday's announcement and highlighted the fact that the rescuing ships were the same ones Iran's army chief had just said were no longer welcome in the Persian Gulf.

I've got two words to describe this: "pure evil".

While Iranian officials try to be gentlemanly about the US brag, for once there's a media source telling it like it is:

The Fars report noted that attacks by Somali pirates in the region are common and said that Iran's navy has itself freed many mariners held by pirates in recent years without seeking to highly publicize it ...

"A U.S. helicopter filming the rescue operation from the first minute makes it look like a Hollywood drama with specific locations and actors. Fars reported in April that Iranian naval commandos had driven off pirates attempting to hijack a supertanker off Pakistan's southwestern coast. "Iran's navy has rescued various foreign ships from the hands of pirates ... but never publicized that," it said.

Remember the film "Z.P.G." (Zero Population Growth) and that part about couples getting doll babies to fulfill their desires to have a child? (Here's a YouTube excerpt from the movie where the woman is brainwashed into accepting a plastic baby as real and in need of her love).

Check out this article. I like how they try to present it is a hobby and only near the end say:

This all pretty creepy since we know that babies are going to become increasingly rare over the coming years and I imagine at just the right moment the ultimate lifelike baby doll will be made available at a reasonable cost.

It reminds me of a photo I saw in a psychology book, when I was a child, of a baby rhesus monkey clutching at a wire mesh stand that had little more than a swath of furry material covering it, and two plastic eyes. The experiment was to find out what was more important to the baby monkey - food or contact. The baby chose the wire stand even though it offered only the barest resemblance to a mother and gave little more than physical contact with the furry material.

I remember feeling so sad for that little monkey - how desperately he needed protection and comfort and how the researchers took advantage of his need and tricked him into bonding with a dummy - and a lousy one at that. It pained me that the monkey would hold onto this dummy even at the potential risk of starving to death.

How about that - I found a write-up about it on the Internet. Yikes, what a nasty experiment:

"Harlow found baby monkeys were very forgiving of their terrycloth mothers. One "mother" was designed to occasionally catapult the baby off, throwing it to the other side of the cage, but the babies always came back. Another had spikes beneath her terrycloth, but the babies put up with the pain. Only running cold water through tubes contained inside the terrycloth mother, making the body cold, made baby monkeys reject it and retreat to a corner of the cage."

How sad would it be to one day accept it as "normal" for humans, trained like monkeys, to bond with "reborns".

Harper displays all of the overt qualities of a psychopath. Being a psychopath, he is very secretive, so the rest of the indications cannot be demonstrated, but must exist to some degree. There isn't an ounce of empathy in this wooden man who has never been averse to shucking "friends" no longer useful, or even to radically changing his appearance to get what his ... no, not his heart, maybe his mind is set on.

He couldn't swing a dead cat, or a live one, without hitting one of his mendacities (I like that word; it's so TV evangelical).

We see more evidence of his psychopathic disconnect, his inability to see both cause and effect, but only effect:

Iran has threatened to close the Strait of Hormuz, a key global oil passage, in possible retaliation for new economic sanctions aimed at curbing its nuclear ambitions. Harper said the posturing over the Strait of Hormuz only underlines the degree to which Iran is "a serious threat."

As if Iran shouldn't feel threatened by sanctions placed on it and nuclear bombs pointed at it, or try to find a non-nuclear (because not having any) way to intimidate right back. Harper's saying the rape victim asked for it. And that's totally psychopathic.

Iran cannot be blamed for at least wishing it had nukes. How many times does it need to be said:

The US/NATO and Israel do not seriously threaten countries that have nuclear bombs.

With all of the sanctions and threats against Iran for even thinking of nuclear capability, is it any wonder that they have been "firing test missiles"? The chutzpah! Preparing for a threatened assault, like a woman signing up for self-defence karati. Well, the United States is redeploying its 5th Fleet to send a strong message to Iran ... so THERE.

As if the fleet weren't already sitting in the Gulf, revving its engines menacingly, double-daring, longing for a credible pretext. But Harper just keeps swinging the cat in the prescribed direction (bolding mine):

The real danger in this kind of a situation is military activities — test-firing of missiles and so forth — escalate. There's a miscalculation on one side, and it could well be the Iranians that take you into a real crisis."

Oh, how he do wish! Something, finally, to blame on the Iranians - you know, enough to get the blessing of the UN Security Council and, most of all, for Harper to be able to justify to Canadians why we have joined a literal street gang rumble.

Irritatingly, Iran has resisted being provoked to the level the public needs to see before accepting the real start of WWIII.

"I think the problem is there's not a consensus about what to do about it precisely," Harper said.

Well, we do know what you and your fellow psychos want to do, don't we, Steve? Is it okay if I call you dangerous? What with your interest in felines and your pants on fire, and all?

Not dangerous to Syria, though. Assad could whup Harper's hot hiney, and has little to lose with the withdrawal of Canada's "symbolic" aid.

Slavation Army: Not a typo

Salvation Army workers strike in Ottawa
Shelter insists business as usual

I lost all warm feelings for the Salvation Army when they invaded my home recently and I discovered they are a billion dollar multinational corporation - their top execs being paid close to a quarter of a million a year, plus perks. So I'm not surprised at this turn of events. They're into "assets", "growth" and dividends, and the way to build those is to be stingy with your clients and your workers.

The union rep provides details (bolding done by me):

Some workers make as low as $11.50 per hour ... which is $2.00 less than maintenance workers at other local shelters and $4.00 less than social workers at centres such as the Ottawa Mission and Shepherds of Good Hope.

"When you are earning $11.50 an hour, you are just a step away from being a client of the Salvation Army yourself" ...

Bingo! Not surprising that the CBC has revised its report to help refute that the Army pays big bucks to its execs (does the Army have its own kind of B'nai Brith to pressure the media?), and not surprising the above bolded comment was expunged. But Google knows it was said, and YayaCanada has the research to show the admins are either in the dark or obfuscating (to put it nicely) about the exec salaries.

In case the online Financial Statement disappears as well, I've downloaded it, and here is the pertinent paragraph:

In 2010, there were 39 non-officer staff in professional and technical roles in The Salvation Army whose total employment income for tax purposes was above $100,000. Their income for tax purposes ranged from $100,049 to $239,081 with an average of $131,625.

That was in 2010. One can assume they got raises, and that these figures don't include perks, like cars.

If Salvation Army administrators have learned anything, it's corporate lingo. The following statement tells us nothing, shares no facts, but deftly implies a valid rationale for low wages:

Salvation Army spokesman Michael Maidment argued important context could be missing when making the comparison with other shelters, including "the complexity of clients" at the other centres.

What arrogance from administrators to say they will do the job themselves. Obviously they are trying to get across that a chimp could do this job and they'll prove it. They won't last long because chimps, er ... administrators are not nearly as organized as their workers have to be, and especially with their clients backing the workers, and probably also their donors. They'll either bring in scabs, which won't make Jesus proud of them, or they'll settle.

I suppose it's Freudian that every time I try to type Salvation it comes out Slavation. The cartoon's funny, though, eh? Don doesn't eat there, and maybe not as many other people as they'd like you to think. It's no fun getting a dose of religion with your lumpy mashed potatoes. You'd have to get drunk first, and that kind of defeats the "rescue" process.

It is rumoured that Saif Al-Islam has married a Zintan woman (let's hope she wanted the marriage too), which would make good, peaceful sense if the rumours of tribal war being on the horizon are correct, and may well save his own life as well. This forum site says:

Saif Al-Islam, Muammar Gadaffi's second son was captured by Libyan fighters of the Zintan tribe. Fortunately the Zintan tribe has a 200 year old agreement with the Ghaddafi tribe that any fighters captured in war by either tribe will be well treated. The Zintan tribe honored the agreement still and Saif Al-Islam Gadaffi is well treated, and his gangrenous hand, injured in the fire fight where he was captured has received good treatment. He was captured on november 19 and flown to Zintan by plane.

It is rumored that Saif has now married a lady of the Zintan tribe. If so it is great news for the green resistance that is fighting the CIA/NATO mercenaries that have taken over Libya for the imperial western powers.

Amnesty is noted for its good works. Now it is rescuing the world from truth, and that can't be an easy task. Hats off to them.

I can't help but contrast the marriage of Saif rumour with the report that Canada's Defence Minister Peter Mackay (I always want to say Peter Pan - he should take this test) has married for less honourable propaganda purposes - first that he is some kind of stud, and second that he doesn't hate Iranians, he just wants to kill them.

I'm a tad surprised we're not hearing that Petie's Mom is kicking up a fuss. It's said that she's a peace activist, and it's hard to fathom a peace activist raising a war monger son. Similarly, his bride is concerned about child executions in Iran, but seems able to tolerate Petie's "tough on youth crime" stance that took him from prosecuting them to helping legislate tougher measures against them, no doubt dreaming of the day when he can execute them - but right now:

The government is especially sensitive about discussions on social issues such as abortion, capital punishment and official languages ... [and] ... if the government is able to keep everything behind closed doors, it can, given its majority on each and every committee, ensure committee reports will be "totally opaque" so that the public will never know what was said or what specific action was taken. Petie certainly does not appear to lose sleep over the numbers of children killed in Afghanistan and Libya by NATO forces, and he can easily intellectualize (video) the possible murder of Iranian children "for freedom and democracy", and see NATO's destruction of Libya and the homes of its children as a great success.

I wonder if his Mom or his bride flinched when he said: "We need those F-35's"

The overall strategy of Global Capitalism is to gradually smooth the way for the breakup of large countries into manageable "nation states", suitable for administration by a central world government. Armageddon will accomplish that, so it's a good thing, and even the Muslims want Armageddon because it will bring about the physical return of Imam Al-Mahdi.

Iran definitely wants a big war because it will hasten the end of days. You don't believe that? Well, Jewish and gentile Christians believe it (video), not seeming to realize that Al-Mahdi will be at the side of Isa (Jesus) when he returns. It just blows my mind to hear fundie Christians accusing Muslims of eschatological prophecy! Talka boutcher psychological projection!

Makes sense, right?

WWIII will do Arabs and Christians alike a big favour because their favourite guys will be able to sort things out. Not for the Jews though, unless they get busy right now converting.

It's a shame the planners couldn't be more imaginative. The whole Syria/Iran thing is so transparent, especially with those Arab inspectors being so much like the UN inspectors that were sent into Iraq. On paper it looks like the right thing is being done, but who doesn't know by now that sanctions and inspections are just preludes to accelerated accusations and actions?

Following the cookie-cutter pattern, the J. Post is reporting that: Syria is believed to have one of the most extensive chemical weapon arsenals in the world, reportedly including sarin, VX and mustard gas.

And now they're trying to hide it - in the hands of Hezbollah!

It was also "believed" that Saddam was hiding his WMDs, so that clinches it, eh? Time to get in there and "liberate" the people, if that's what you kids are calling coups these days.

Because these are coups, pure and simple, right out in the open. No secret is being made of the fact that thousands of the Syrian protesters are actually defected military "funded by Syrian expats" - and no doubt infiltrated and trained by "intelligence".

It's also no secret that the same mercenaries who fought against Gadhafi in Libya have joined in the Syrian fracas. Meanwhile Sarkozy bleats that Assad has killed his own people. The exact same words that were used against Saddam. Borrrrrrrrr-ing.

No wonder the itchy, armed "protesters" are finding the inspectors are getting in their way, and just want to get back to business.

Now nobody's saying that Assad or Saddam are/were angels. But does it really need to be said that far bloodier despots have been supported by the West simply because they played for the team? Augusto Pinochet, for example, was a darling of Milton Friedman's Freemarket Chicago Boys, and the fact that he tortured and killed thousands of dissident Chileans was not considered a drawback but just sort of a necessary part of the recommended austerity measures.

Meanwhile Israel dances around like Muhammad Ali, "the Great One", thumbing its nose and chanting, "You're going down, Syria; you're going down Iran". See, it's okay if Israel talks about other countries going down, but anybody who whispers "Down with Israel" is automatically "hate" criming.

More and more it does appear that the real war is between Russia, China and NATO, via Syria and Iran. Whatever else this article may suggest, it's plausible that Assad's only way out may be through war with Israel, a move that would "unite the Islamic world". It would also, however, lead to the Big War hoped for by NATO. Whether that will result in a nuclear holocaust - oh, dear, I said the sacred woid - is anybody's guess right now.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Jesus will probably return before the nukes fly. You know why? Because he's a pinko, he taught his disciples Pinkoism, and that's a Biblical fact (Acts 4: 32-37). So he's soft on China and only a little bit disappointed with Russia, understanding the pressures it's been under.

Friedman, being a Jew, would not likely have known about that, but you'd think Christians would ... wouldn't you? Instead, so many of them equate communism with godless evil and blame the Jews for it. Jesus was a Jew, not a Christian, and too many Christians have forgotten how he overturned the tables of the Jews who defiled the temple with money changing and usury.

The true Christians are saying that "the Jews" are the architects of the current corrupt and greedy banking systems. And they're the ones the global agenda needs to watch out for.

Oh, it's all so complicated and convoluted only a child could figure it out. But keeping the masses at one another's throats is an excellent way for the power trippers to gain an advantage over them.

I'm thinking the Christians who do such a bang-up job of appearing like greedy, bloodthirsty elitists have been doubting that Jesus was ever coming back - I mean after 2000 years of not keeping the promise, what should logic tell you? But they might tick him off so much he decides to arrive with guns a-blazing.

Maybe they should first read Acts 5 to find out what he (and/or his Father) did to a follower who didn't share everything.

And these CEOs are going straight to hell.

Kind of sensationalized with dramatic music in the background but she makes some good points. I especially liked the reference to the idea that our nations send our poor to kill the poor of other nations.

Class Wars

I think, in the end, there is really only one war - the rich against the poor and by that I mean the self-proclaimed elite against everyone else. All of these wars are simply parts of the great war against humanity.

The corporations and their owners and benefactors, all over the planet, are using their "livestock" to kill each other in their quest to control resources. Every time we enable, condone or ignore the deaths of others we enable, condone and ignore our own, don't we.

I really think that all this fear-mongering about nukes is simply that. The "elite" are too chicken-shit to actually use nukes in combat because everyone suffers from the fallout. The threat, however, is very useful in twisting the arms of uncooperative nations and to keep the general population in a state of fear.

But monied Americans reportedly already have their bomb shelters (video) and others are ready around the world, so if things go really bad, if the "herd" becomes a massive global mob swarming over them with blood in their eyes they will run to their shelters and let the bombs fly.

As usual, all of this has been pre-programmed in American movies. There is a film series called Alien Versus Predator. Both creatures prey on humans but the predator also likes to challenge itself by hunting aliens.

The predator is a more sophisticated creature than the alien - it has special gear and weapons while the alien just has acid for blood and a fast rate of reproduction.

Basically, if during one of the predator's hunting games the aliens get the upper hand and are so numerous that they stand to wipe out everything, the predator opens his control panel and sets off a nuclear bomb to destroy everything.

Really, what "elite" creeps would want to live for, what, 20? 40? years underground until all that radiation dies down to a liveable level unless they absolutely had to.

Of course there's lots of depleted uranium already lying around but the "elite" don't live in those places, have no intention of living there, do not care if it is liveable for the local population and if they need something from there they will send someone expendable - one of us - to get it for them.

All of these wars or "warlets", "mini-wars", seem to be just parts of one big war, the great war against humanity. In that case the 99 percent protestors are likely on the right track - it is a global war of the rich against the poor.

A group of Americans have, for years, been gradually constructing their own underground shelter using old buses, and they offer advice on how to do it. The photos show an interior that I personally would want to escape from the minute I arrived.

Merkel and Sarkozy in reworking of sketch Dinner For One
A 1963 British comedy sketch which is cult New Year's Eve viewing in Germany has inspired a YouTube hit featuring Angela Merkel and Nicolas Sarkozy.

Here it is - with English title "Euros for No One", but no subtitles, which doesn't really matter. You will appreciate the excellent superimposition of the talking heads, and the comic imagery.

The description says:

"The story is told in very short time. Every month miss Merkel makes a rescue Summit for the Euro. Her guests are the most important statesmen of europe. The little problem is anyway that in europe dont exist any important stateman. Only madame Merkel!"

Sarkozy plays the parts of all the absent guests, and gets drunker and drunker. The BBC tells you the rest:

[Sarkozy] tells "Mrs Merkel" in English, "You are looking younger than ever", before switching to German and saying, "You look richer than ever".

"Mrs Merkel" tells "Mr Cameron" during a toast: "Don't forget we speak German in Europe".

As "Mr Sarkozy" scurries around the table in an ever more drunken way, the narrator says: "This is what happens every euro rescue summit, whether or not anyone else is there, it is just these two doing everything themselves".

The parody ends - like the original - with the butler taking the old lady up to her bedroom. In the original, James asks Miss Sophie whether it will be the "same procedure as last year" then promises to do "his very best".

In the YouTube version, "Mr Sarkozy" tells "Mrs Merkel" he will give her his "triple A".

Now here's something you'll really like! At least I do. It's the way I'd like to see war conducted. I've been following this particular group of warriors since 2009. VIDEO

Children are known as 'super-spreaders' of flu because they pick up infections so readily and pass them on to more vulnerable family members.

This monstrous pile of baloney was written by a British so-called Medical Editor who obviously believes (or more likely does) everything she is told and doesn't mind signing her name to it, if indeed Smith is her real name.

Her wilful ignorance knows no bounds.

First of all "the virus"? There is only one flu virus? How about hundreds of them?

Second, taking chances with the health of children in order to protect that of the elderly flies in the face of Mother Nature herself. Any sane grandparent would gladly die of flu rather than risk the health and wellbeing of their grandchildren to avoid it.

Next: They were vaccinated during the swine flu pandemic in 2009 ...

There was no flu pandemic in 2009, only a big scare that lackies of the Pharmers perpetrated to raise profits and perks, and then obfuscated - "I think we did not convey the uncertainty", meaning, oops, I guess we made a huge deal out of nothing.

But their mission was accomplished, because they "caused governments to stockpile vaccines", deftly funnelling tax dollars into corporate coffers.

Comments below the Telegraph's article indicate the British public have their wits about them. One makes the salient point that even jabbed kids can still carry the flu to their grannies on unwashed hands. This appears to be news to the medical/pharming community.

I'm not sure Canadians have wised up yet. Every so often I still hear an otherwise seemingly intelligent person say, "I don't know why I got sick; I had my flu shot and everything. I guess I caught a bug it didn't cover, or something."

They became ill because the flu shot whacked out their immune systems, bringing them down biologically, leaving them with little defence against other contagious illnesses. Maybe the medical/pharmer community doesn't know that either. Or maybe that's the whole aim?

Now here I'm going to reveal to you the essence of my concept of "God" - if you believe in illness, it's real for you. If you cause your child to believe it, it's real for that child. If you sacrifice your child for what you are told is the good of all, then you might as well have visited Bohemian Grove (video) and participated in its symbolic "cremation of care" ritual - a euphemism for the ancient Hebrew idolators' child sacrifices to Moloch.

Children are psychic sponges; adjust your thoughts accordingly. In other words, if you fear anything at all, you may inadvertently bring it about, regardless of (or maybe because of?) any precautions you take. Remember Job?

It's elementary, my dear Watson. Conquer fear. That's the only way to survive the battle for your mind - and your body.

If you make New Year resolutions, why not do yourself a favour and resolve to say "No" to the jab.

Plan for Middle East same plan for North America?

Did you know that Americans can purchase a "used"copy from Amazon of a document called: Zionist Plan for the Middle East for $235.82 plus shipping and Canadians can order it from Chapters for $3.87 plus shipping? The Amazon reviews of the document are quite interesting, especially the one that informs customers that the full document from which this piece is derived is freely available on the internet. Its title is: “A Strategy for Israel in the Nineteen Eighties”

Louis Farrakhan outlined the whole concept in 2004, and it's on YouTube, but he's been targeted as an all-round rabid antisemite, among other things, so the video hasn't exactly had millions of visitors. Part 1 ... Part 2

Little seems to be known about the original author of the document, Oded Yinon besides this: Oded Yinon was formerly a senior Israeli Foreign Affairs Ministry official. He is (1996) a journalist for the Jerusalem Post. But the translator, Israeli university professor and civil rights activist Israel Shahak, is written up in Wikipedia. He has been portrayed as a "Jewish antisemite", would you believe.

The essay is said to have first been published by The World Zionist Organization, and I couldn't find it there but I did find a short blurb about Oded Yinon (click on his name in the search list) and a now-defunct link to the essay. (CORRECTION: Click on the first item in the search list and a frame will open that contains the essay.)

Basically, the plan consists of splitting each of the middle eastern countries down the middle, not a difficult task, mostly accomplished by stirring up religious sects against one another - which the US has been quite successful at in Iraq, no doubt with lots of help from Mossad infiltrators.

Of course, the media talk as if these factions have always been at one another's throats, but that ain't necessarily so. From historian Juan Cole:

I see a lot of pundits and politicians saying that Sunnis and Shiites in Iraq have been fighting for a millennium. We need better history than that. The Shiite tribes of the south probably only converted to Shiism in the past 200 years. And, Sunni-Shiite riots per se were rare in 20th century Iraq. Sunnis and Shiites cooperated in the 1920 rebellion against the British. ... If you read the newspapers in the 1950s and 1960s, you don’t see anything about Sunni-Shiite riots ... The kind of sectarian fighting we’re seeing now in Iraq is new in its scale and ferocity, and it was the Americans who unleashed it.

As diabolical as all this may seem regarding the Middle East, it should be noted that there is a movement toward breaking up the North American countries, as well. For some time I've talked about the global agenda for world governance that entails the splitting up of countries into smaller units, the purpose of which I think is to allow for international rules, laws and general policy to be established and administered from a central location, while "nation states" would be allowed sovereignty only over local matters, subject, of course, to those international rules.

Sort of an expanded version of our provinces headed by a federal government. Countries would be split into smaller "nation states", becoming virtual provinces dominated by an international government. It has been openly admitted by Stephen Harper, for instance, that our economy is not our own to govern; we are in a global economy.

This seems to be what the secession movement is all about. It might seem that the opposite is occurring because of the North American Union - the blending of Mexico, Canada and the US - suggesting the creation of a much larger unit. But the whole of North America would actually end up composed of 19 "nation states" (see secessionist map), each with local sovereignty, subject to the rules of the central world government.

So what is planned for the Middle East may have derived from Israeli thinking processes, but it fits the global plan for all of us. Notice how Canada and the United States are polarized politically, for example, even though there is very little difference in the overall objectives of the politicial parties. Notice the increase in the political clout of the religious right, offset by an increase in the visibility of atheists.

Israel may be getting a taste of its own medicine, now demonstrating some of the violent extremist views of which the Taliban and Islam in general have been accused.

I could talk about the manipulation of race as well as religion in the so-called Arab Spring, but I'll let Mahdi Darius Nazemroaya do that instead in this article wherein he also discusses the Oded Yinon plan, and from which I quote:

The name “Arab Spring” is a catch phrase concocted in distant offices in Washington, London, Paris, and Brussels by individuals and groups who, other than having some superficial knowledge, know very little about the Arabs. What is unfolding amongst the Arab peoples is naturally a mixed package. Insurgency is part of this package as is opportunism. Where there is revolution, there is always counter-revolution too.

Market fluctuations are also excellent ways to weaken the middle classes and create polarization between the rich and the poor. I'm told there's an ex-Goldman-Sachs guy predicting just that as a result of a "major war" coming in 2012-2013. I don't know ... this seems to be coming from the more sensationalist websites that are constantly making imminent predictions that don't pan out, and besides, world wars have usually boosted economies, so it's hard to guess the purpose of this prophecy.

Not that I don't think we're on the verge of or already into WWIII; just that I think war is generally a means of solving economic problems for the attacking entities. The countries being attacked may suffer; their big failing in the first place is that they are not willing "players" in the global economy.

Is this prediction an attempt to create anti-war sentiment in America? That's the best face I can put on it. If North America suffers an Islamist false flag attack, that would really polarize the people!

Flash Realization about the Weather

"Flash Freeze" and "Flash Flood" - Climate Change buzz terms?

I've suddenly become more acutely aware of the proliferation of these ominous terms in the media when freezing weather and flooding are described.

A flash is instantaneous, is it not? I doubt that weather occurrences are instantaneous, but I'm a doubter with a capital D.

I think a lot of this is in aid of another buzz term: "global warming" or the more commonly used of late "climate change", should the purported experts find they have to back off the warming theory.

I wonder, do journalists themselves live in fear of the myriad things they try to shock us with? Or are they entirely cynical tools of the power structure? Maybe they're so dull-minded they resort to ripping their material out of apocalyptic movies.

Maybe all of the above.

Should we have known the Rait scandal was never about curing cancer?

UPDATE: Dec. 28 - The Globe and Mail enlarges on CTV's report of yesterday, and it is causing me to somewhat revise my thinking. When a document is leaked, it is leaked for a purpose. If there is to be a nuclear false flag incident in North America that would justify WWIII, there has to be a recognized way for "terrorists" to get hold of the ingredients. These new revelations would provide the perfect cover story. The Canadian Nuclear Association states clearly that Chalk River produced plutonium for America's nuclear bombs (in other words "weapons grade uranium") - we helped produce the A-bombs that America used on the Japanese - it does not say that it has stopped doing this. Once again, it seems that the government is telling lies with the help of the media. The uranium theme is being picked up by many "news" sources, stressing the dangers of producing and transporting it, including a report of a train carrying nuclear materials in Australia having been derailed by a flash flood just yesterday, so - unlike the issue of Israeli spies in Canada - this is something that governments and media really want us to know about and be worried about.

Maybe all we need to know is that Canada is increasing its uranium mining, Canada produces plutonium, America needs to upgrade its nuclear bombs, America and Israel want war with Syria/Iran, America needs a strong pretext for WWIII, Iranian "terrorism" in North America (like 9/11) would have great shock value and garner support for expanded war fronts, and unemployment will insure a steady supply of military recruits - which includes the Canadian military, since Harper is predicting "tough times" ahead.

Did I leave anything out? Oh yes, the Canada/ US border deal for "security" purposes, where America can let through what it wants to and blame it on Canada.

Thanks to prodigious blogger Penny (Penny for your Thoughts) for kick-starting me on the subject of uranium mining in Canada. See her commentary on today's CTV news item about shipments of Canadian "weapons grade" uranium to the United States.

Maybe we should have twigged that Canada is back on the uranium track when Liberal critics were all worked up about Lisa Rait's "sexy" little portfolio - Chalk River. It seems now that the furor was not just about the need for medical isotopes.

As flaky as Rait was, she did have the solution to the aged and failing reactors: "Money. And if it's just about money, we'll figure it out..."

And according to the Canadian Nuclear Association Chalk River seems to be doing okay, thank you very much.

Uranium became big biz in Canada way back prior to and during the Cold War, and just about all of Canada's uranium is of the highest grade, perfectly suitable for weapons. We were uranium suppliers to the world for a long, long time, and amassed huge stockpiles against the day when the demand would increase, so it stands to reason that Canada has been shipping "weapons grade" uranium for decades.

Now, see under heading "Future Mines":

Uranium production in Canada is likely to increase significantly as several new mines, now planned or under construction, go into operation sometime after 2011. The two largest projects are Cameco's Cigar Lake mine and Areva's Midwest mine, both in northern Saskatchewan. The mill at McClean Lake has been modified to process ore from both mines. The Rabbit Lake mill will also be modified to take ore from Cigar Lake. Total production is expected to be 8,200 t/yr U3O8 from Cigar Lake and 2,600 t/yr from Midwest.

Ah, so. Maybe that's why it's suddenly being talked about. The greater the increase the greater the inherent dangers of transporting it, not to mention the iffy disposal of waste - what's left after tipping the missiles that are "liberating" so many countries.

We could surmise that the increase is just about nuclear electric power and advances in cancer treatment. Or we could say it's about replenishing the aged American stockpile of nuclear bombs. A bit of one, and a lot of the other probably.

I wasn't going to do this, because Lyndon Larouche comes across as just generally whacky, but on the off-chance he knows what he's talking about this time, here's his "emergency broadcast" delivered on December 23.

He says that unless Obama is immediately impeached on the grounds of insanity there will be thermonuclear war with the object of taking out China and Russia with Syria/Iran being jumping off points.

I'm not sure what good it would do to take out Obama when we'd only be left with freaky Joe Biden and the same shadow government anyway, but Larouche suggests an alternate out for us all - transport to Mars.

(One thing he says that makes sense to me is that America should just declare bankruptcy and start all over again.)

Harper to marry Queen after Prince Philip croaks

I have kept a running tally and, to date, on approximately one third of the days in the past year, the CBC's top news item has been some asinine story about the frickin' royal family of a foreign nation - as if there aren't more important news items of real import which affect Canadian lives. Harper's actual words in a CTV end of year interview (emphasis mine): "Afghanistan now, with all its internal security problems, is today no longer a threat to the rest of the world, and that is a big step forward" ...

What is "the rest of the world"? And when was Afghanistan a threat to it? Harper loves to make broad, loaded statements that break down into gibberish. The man would clank when he walks if he weren't so full of baloney.

How can the destruction of a country and the security of its people possibly be characterized as a "big step forward"?

How can he blatantly imply that Afghanistan caused 9/11 when it was blamed on Saudis, not the Afghan people? He can because he has no concept of morality or truth, and he takes his cues from American propaganda.

GWB accused (video) Afghanistan of harbouring 'terrorissstsss" - namely Bin Laden, who was of course a CIA operative. But though they claimed to have searched frantically for a whole decade, was he found there? No. The story now is that he was holed up and killed in US-friendly Pakistan.

When speaking of Iraq, Bush accidentally gave away the global agenda when he said: "Chaos is the greatest ally" (video - Freudian slip, his prompter said "their" greatest ally").

Why was Afghanistan demolished and left in chaos? Because the breakdown of society caused by war subjugates the targeted countries to western domination, and above all enriches corporations and NGOs who provided the machinery, the supplies, and the hugely expensive but virtually nonexistent reconstruction. Not to mention the way having been smoothed for the drug and gas/oil trades.

Why is Afghanistan now finished with? Because the fish fry has moved on to a new location (video playlist), after a slight Libyan detour.

If Harper told any truth at all, it was that there are hard times ahead for Canada - but the unemployed will find lots of job opportunities as military grunts.

And I can tell you what Harper omitted from his smug little revelation about the Keystone XL pipeline project. What Harper knows is that Obama's heel-dragging is nothing but an election ploy. It's a cynical sop to environmentalist voters.

These clearances are laughable and useless, having come a day too early, on the 23rd; weather conditions could change by this evening. But it's also arrogant of the US and Canada to suggest that Santa even needs their okay to travel on Christmas Eve. That man - er, jolly old elf - knows everything, for pete's sake, like God hisself, so he should be quite capable of assessing and deciding his own takeoff time.

In fact, when you really think about that, Santa comes across as almost sinister, spying on us all the time. And he doesn't bring joy to every girl and boy - he only visits certain homes, leaving gifts in numbers and quality determined solely by the family's income.

Needless to say, there are many places he doesn't bother to visit at all - countries blighted by famine, for instance. And if you think that's just in places like Africa, read Steinbeck, and you'll see there's no mention of him showing up for the victims of the Oklahoma Dust Bowl either.

Face it, the guy's an elitist jerk, and if the US and Canada approve of him, and he isn't on a no-fly list, then he's in cahoots with the rotters messing up this planet, and children should be told the truth.

Santa is corporate to the core. There's even a North Pole Inc., and Nick's been known to contract himself out to sell cigarettes and tout a notorious, killer soft drink. He's responsible for Christmas being little more than a pagan shopping festival.

Some will go even further and suggest that his name is an anagram, and he's really Satan.

OK, I was thinking about that joke about the dyslexic who wondered if there really was a Dog, and then I began to wonder about Santa - so I went to look him up and came across a really interesting article from a pagan website.

Who knew that Ireland and Scotland were actually joined by an ice bridge around 8000 years ago? And that tribes lived over the whole area until the bridge collapsed shortly after, leaving about 50,000 people trapped in what became Ireland?

Things begin to take a strange turn after that.

Ancient pagan deities such as Befana (a gift-giving Roman goddess); the Holly King (a Celtic Winter god); and Thor and Tomte (Norse gods who, respectively, rode across the sky in a chariot drawn by goats and gave presents to children at the end of the year) all fed into the Santa legend popular today.

It gets spookier. The Holly King later morphs into Saint Nicholas, and from there it goes downhill. If you don't scare easily, watch this video.

To me, all the Santas look creepy and not too convincing of their "nice" status. And I figure this Santa stuff comes from trying to Christianize pagan worship. Likely parents from all cultures have always had a bogeyman to threaten children into good behaviour. In Catalunya (at least in the families of some people I know) it was "the man with the sac" who stole nasty misbehaving children: "You don't want the man with the sac to come, do you?"

Christmas arrives with the winter solstice, and it all seems locked up with fertility and fear of starving to death during the harsh winter. If you were good (and it is always SO hard for children to be "good") the Gods would be pleased and you would survive and the crops would bloom in the spring. Children were beaten (as shown in the parade in the video) to make then behave well so as not to jinx "fertility".

I think Saint Nicholas got involved when Christianity wanted to expand. The people were extremely attached to their pagan beliefs (and we can see that they still are) so the church decided to Christianize them. I figure the demons and monsters are evil or represent "Satan" (easy because they were already portrayed as nasty) and they introduced an old man (Father Time?) who represented "good" or God - and good and evil traveled together judging the children - who were naughty, who were nice - and instead of beating them into obedience, good behaviour was rewarded with gifts,food or sweets.

Hey, when they Christianized the pagan Christmas stuff they used the Bishop or the Cardinal to represent good or God, so that's why Santa is dressed in red - just like the church authorities - and I'll bet the Bishop paraded through the villages accompanied by the pagan demons and Gods to encourage the new tradition.

That's probably why the current pope sometimes wears a red hat or a red cape trimmed with white fur.This is also why some of the extreme Christian fundies freak out about Santa - he has the same attributes as God so in their minds he MUST be Satan - but I figure the reason he has these attributes is because he really does represent God.

It would not take long for the children to embrace this symbol of Christianity and to associate the Church (the pope, the priests) with a kindly, generous man. It likely led to a lot of these children converting to Christianity in their adult lives (and some of their children becoming the victims of pedophiles).

So we have evolved from the time when we worshipped Gods who brought us food and bountiful harvests in the Fall provided we were "good"; from a time when we worried so much about our children's behaviour displeasing the Gods that we told them fearful stories about demons and monsters that would beat or even steal naughty boys and girls (although the church still holds out the threat of Hell).

Yes, we are still bribing good behaviour out of children but we are no longer agrarian; we are industrial. So now we have "Buy me something!!!!" Video: Christmas Shopping Madness: It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Oddly enough, it seems there are entities who want to destroy Christmas, Santa and Christianity in general. If you can, try to see this film; it may be at your library or video store:

At the very least, it's a good slam against Christmas - the boy protagonist's advent calender has no chocolates and instead of looking forward to Christmas eve, there is a count-down of dread, because all his friends are disappearing and Santa's elves are definitely not in a good mood.

You won't see festive decorations anywhere, and on Christmas day the community goes out for the annual reindeer round-up.

Many stories about demons and monsters terrorizing children into good behaviour in order to placate the Gods originate in Scandinavia. Odin and Hertha are Scandanavian mythological gods. Hertha, mother of Thor (god of thunder), was believed to have visited the people in an attempt to bring them together in peace; she rode in a chariot "amid festivity over the land". Come to think of it, likely a lot of Christmas pagan tradition originates from this region.

I thought the goddess "Hertha" was cool, climbing down the chimney and, if she found a good family, leaving gifts of food. (Is that why it's called the hearth?)

Personally, I like the pagan aspects of Christmas - the tree, the holly, the wreaths, the stockings. I like the connection with nature and the desire for growth and fertility. But I can see how some people might see this as evil because it ain't about Jeeeezuz.

If you've got a strong constitution you may survive listening to a former, long-time CIA psychiatrist, Jerrold Post, arrogantly dissecting Syria's Bashar Al-Assad and other "rogue" leaders. The CBC's interviewer, Anna Maria Tremonti, touted misleadingly as a "hard edged" journalist, laps up every word and asks not a single challenging question.

Much of what this blatant propagandist says could apply to the behaviours of western leaders as well, but this guy is a "believer" in western superiority and his own brilliance (also not missing a couple of opportunities to insert references to the "Holocaust") and so is the astoundingly gullible Tremonti. Jerrold Post knows all about narcissism; his personal manner being a good demonstration of it.

It's a bit chilling near the end where he claims to be saddened by the deaths by such "interesting" leaders as Saddam and Gadhafi only because he enjoyed studying them, and then predicts the imminent death of Hugo Chavez from cancer. What he's admitting, without saying, is that Venezuela is on the CIA's hit list, along with all the other countries it has infiltrated in concert with Mossad and MI6 (forming the real evil axis).

Any country, "democracy" or not, that experiences insurrection calls out the military, makes arrests in huge swaths, and is prepared to kill anyone who threatens the government. Black October is Canada's own example. Had the FLQ crisis grown and were more visible, there would have been just as much bloodshed here at home. You know you live in a US-style "democracy" when you are not allowed to visit Cuba or North Korea without special dispensation.

China and Japan are set to play guiding parent roles. Quite an insult. "I'm sure the Japanese side will implore the Chinese side to use their good offices to help North Korea find a way to be more Burmese," he said, referring to Myanmar, whose new civilian government has pledged to re-engage with the world community.

"Re-engaging with the world community" means pressure to get rid of nukes, US "intervention", borrowing from the IMF, importing instead of producing, plus "austerity measures" - which of course North Korea already has because of being isolated for its "communist" ways, and then being called a "hermit" state as if its solitude hadn't been forced on it.

Speculation abounds as to whether or not there will be power struggles in Kim Jong-un's administration, but take a look at the caption included with this old photo. When Kim Jong-il's father died, there was the same gossip then as well. It all amounts to American wishful thinking, and if they see their opportunity they will make it happen. Now I'm starting to wonder if some of those people being allowed to enter NKorea for condolence purposes will actually be infiltrators.

They all entered a plea of guilty" ...

The Ottawa Israelis have been ordered to leave the country this weekend. We're not very consistent with our laws. And we we seem to have very naive police forces.

UPDATE #2: Dec. 22 (Emphasis mine) - CBC Nova Scotia: Several people charged with working illegally in Canada are due to appear in a Halifax courtroom Thursday. Eight men and two women — all from Israel — were arrested Wednesday in a raid on a home in a quiet suburb and kiosks at three shopping malls. There have been similar cases reported in Australia, New Zealand and the United States.

Of course. If they were in Ottawa, they are in other places as well. The fact that they have "fake" papers suggests more than police seem willing to want to delve into. Again, it was neighbours who blew the whistle on them. From the ChronHerald: The Halifax house was rented to them by Chaumiere Inc., no doubt one of the "sayanim" Gilad Atzmon mentions in his latest book when speaking of the Mossad's assistants in other countries. "Registry of Joint Stock listings identify Sala Al-Hannawi and Mohamed-Ammar Katmeh as the Chaumiere directors." Cute. They give the company a French name, and the principals have Muslim names. It gets stinkier and stinkier. Mossad agents know how to pose as just about anything, and especially as Arabs.

This is still not being mentioned in any other of the North American MSM.

UPDATE #1: Dec. 21 - So far, except for the CBC, the Canadian MSM have been mum about this. The Jewish Tribune however expands on it a little. It was apparently neighbours of the Gatineau house the Israelis worked out of who alerted the police, so I guess they had no choice but to investigate. The Israelis quickly admitted to the crime of working illegally, and showed they had return air tickets home, so the police ordered them to use them now.

If they're spies, and I've no reason not to suspect they are - they've served in the military and have intelligence training - then working illegally is an excellent cover because it's something they can quickly admit to and all that happens is they get sent back home. Let's face it, the drugstore chains are doing a good enough job of selling Israeli products for them.

As to be expected, there is already Zionist damage control - a lovely zenophobic letter to the JT Editor, saying that all the arrested Israelis wanted to do was "make Canadians smell better", then quickly shifting the focus to "Islamists", dangerous to Jews yet "free to roam the streets".

It's just occurred to me that people who use the term Zionist to distinguish between ordinary Jews and supporters of all Israel's actions right or wrong, are told they are being covertly antisemitic, yet the use of the word "Islamist" is quite obviously a euphemism for "Muslim" and probably even "Arab".

Alleged illegal workers caught in Ottawa
Workers were mostly from Israel, CBSA says

The Canada Border Services Agency arrested 31 people it says were working illegally at Ottawa-area shopping malls. Officials from the agency raided several shops and malls in the area with the assistance of Ottawa and Gatineau police forces. The employees, most of them from Israel, were working at kiosks in malls including Carlingwood, St. Laurent, Bayshore and Les Galleries du Hull. CBSA spokesman Darren Frank said he wouldn't comment on whether the workers were hired by one employer.

They will not likely be thanked for arresting these Israelis, but why in the world does Israel think it needs to spy on Canadians, when they have the undying love of our dictator?

All are currently detained under the Immigration Act pending a court appearance in Montreal Thursday. If found guilty, they may be deported and excluded from returning to Canada for a year.

IF found guilty? MAY be deported? It's already been confirmed by the CBSA that they are Israelis and that they were working illegally in Canada.

Note that the examples given date back only a decade or so. And whether or not the Philippines have an average of 10 or 20 typhoons a year, some of them are bound to be horrific.

The farthest back I was able to go in an internet search was to the early 50's: Worst Typhoons of the Philippines

Between 1951 and '52 almost 2000 people died in two milder typhoons, but since the records don't go back any further than that, then, as usual, we can't be at all certain that "climate change" is causing the current flooding and deaths.

If you look at the Legend below the table you'll see (re: entry #4) it claims that 1984 brought the "most powerful typhoon ever recorded". There is nothing to say there has been anything that "powerful" before or since, although there seems to be some confusion about wind velocity. The Legend says winds went as high as 320 kph "before the anemometer was damaged". But the velocity shown in the #4 entry in the table is only 220, with 320 being attributed to a 2006 typhoon that the Legend says was only "A very large super typhoon" (emphasis mine), not the largest.

In 1991, according to the Legend below the table for entry #1: Official estimates death toll up to 8,000; missing persons were presumed dead, some maybe devoured by sharks at Ormoc Bay Camotes Sea, and the wind velocity was quite comparatively low, so we can't deduce trends from the number of deaths or from wind velocity.

In addition, the bolded entries show high damage costs not adjusted for inflation, nor for the fact of higher population creating the need for more construction, nor for modernization of existing structures and infrastructures. So damage costs tell us nothing.

How in the world can anyone judge whether things are worse due to "climate change" (which is still synonymous with "global warming" despite its potential for a different connotation should the globe actually cool down - see the last few links in this blog entry)?

I can tell you from my own reading of media reports, however, that disasters (always called "the worst") are now being used to move populations into more dense housing "projects" - the better to keep the all-seeing eye on them, and blame them for everything bad that happens?

That's happening all over the world - remember Katrina, and the masses of homeless that were moved into vacant apartments in a low-rent, high crime area of Houston? Remember the bush fires in Australia (some set by "criminals" which naturally would make them worse and therefore make the global warming theory seem valid (not to mention that there is a long history of bushfires in Australia, and there were "major fires" in the Kinglake area in 1929)?

They're usually poor people in those areas as this article on the latest Philippine typhoon points out, so why bother with early warning systems when these disasters serve such a good purpose (emphasis mine):

The president pledged to repair damaged roads and water systems, mass housing units in safe relocation areas, and water level sensors for all major river basins across the country to help communities avoid similar disasters.
"But in return we expect you to refrain from moving back to those places that put your lives at constant risk," Aquino said in a speech at an evacuation centre.

It's nothing new that religious groups have been conned into perceiving one another as evil enemies so that unhindered slaughter of innocents can take place for control of the resources under the ground they live upon. Marauding and plundering has been going on forever. History is full of it, and so is the Old Testament.

Christian power brokers are quite content to believe with all their hearts that unconverted Jews and Muslims will burn in hell. And Jewish power brokers have no less secret contempt for goys than they ever did. But for the moment it's in their mutual business interests to devise a common enemy.

Technology and psychology have fooled us into thinking we've evolved, but we plebes still allow ourselves to be ruled by barbarians who choose for us who our enemies are.

But they are being systematically and cynically demonized as a group, just as the Jews were in Germany; they are dying in huge numbers in their home countries, they are harassed and intimidated in their adopted countries, and there's no getting around the fact of that.

I'm with the British MP: Muslims are the new Jews. They are victims of genocide; they have suffered one disaster after another. The ones who are determined to fight back are labeled "terrorists" but from an outsider's view they look a lot like the Jewish Defence League (who claim to confront "hate", though not their own), or the Irgun from whose ranks came some of Israel's most respected icons.

It’s in the nature of true believers and ideologues to believe that any means to their sacred ends are justified. This makes them extremely dangerous people. It’s also typical of such people that they’re often motivated by unfathomable resentment and anger, a compulsion not just to better but to destroy their adversaries. These are good descriptions of Stephen Harper and those closest to him.

Particularly reminiscent of WWII nationalism run amok is the description of Petie Mackay taking bows at the Grey Cup game (travelling ultra top class at your expense) for Canada's part in the destruction of Libya, and the quote: "the blending of sport and the military, with the government as the marching band, is part of the new nationalism the Conservatives are trying to instill" suggests strongly that Harper and his closest minions may be secret admirers of Adolph Hitler, and for all their overt blanket support of Israel, might actually be secret antisemites who would behave quite differently if they saw their chance.

Especially telling are the remarks of Tom Flanagan, former Harper advisor, who when criticized in an email for saying that Julian Assange ought to be assassinated allegedly replied, “Better be careful, we know where you live.”

PS: The Globe and Mail endorsed Harper for PM in April 2011 saying: He has not been the scary character portrayed by the opposition; with some exceptions, his government has been moderate and pragmatic.

Another drone crashed before it even got airborne in Seychelles. Say, did you know that those tiny little islands harbour a US military base? I used to wonder why my websites have always been visited from there, but not now. US spooks are everywhere.

Supposedly, they're protecting Seychelles from piracy, but how handy is that? "In the 1960s, US Admiral Hanks argued, in a special report, that Seychelles could be considered as an `unsinkable aircraft carrier in the Indian Ocean given its proximity to the oil sea lanes and oil producing nations." His idea was publicly pooh-poohed, but in these days of "War by Deception" (video playlist) piracy is an excellent pretext. And now China wants to get into the act (click on the "supposedly" link above). And if the US allows it, well, we can safely assume that any bellicosity in China's direction is strictly for show.

How about those drones, eh? As iffy and expensive as they are, there's one coming to your neighbourhood - very likely armed with tasers, shotguns and grenades (video). Ouch. You can always hope they malfunction.

Closer to home, the controversy is about to deepen over the F-35 toys Harper says he wants Santa to bring him - if the Opposition has its wits about it, which we've seen reason to doubt.

There's a huge no-fly in the ointment: The Trillion-Dollar Jet Has Thirteen Expensive New Flaws and will not be anywhere near serviceable until after 2018 - if then - which is probably why nobody can say how much they will cost. Nevertheless, the price is rising as we speak, and even the Pentagon is looking around to see if there's a piggy bank it hasn't yet broken into.

When you think about the military/industrial complex (and you ought to) consider who is pulling Harper's strings - the military, soulmates of the weapons industry - and the magic number is 65:

Lt.-Gen. Andre Deschamps said the air force would have to review how much "concurrent activity" it could handle if the number of radar-evading F-35s drop below the 65 aircraft the government has promised ..."In the end, it's all about managing risk in delivering the defence mission. The number 65 gives us the capacity to cover all our missions with confidence."

It also fits the projected profits spreadsheets of the manufacturers' accounting offices. And the F-35s are not for "defence" at all. According to Rabble: "The F-35 is made for "shock and awe" bombing missions abroad".

Not only that but (emphasis mine):

The former second in command of the Canadian Air Force, Major-General Richard Bastien, is now vice-president of the U.S.-owned aerospace company L-3 MAS, based in Montreal. Predictably, he told Members of Parliament in October that "the government must do its utmost to ensure that the F-35 is not only a military success, but also a success for industry in Canada."

Likewise the plane's U.S. builder, Lockheed Martin, has hired one of Ottawa's most successful defence industry lobby firms, CFN Consultants, which is composed almost entirely of retired officers from the senior ranks of the military.

The military is not the "highest calling", no matter what Harper says; it is the highest-priced calling. The wars are all about how to get tax dollars into the pockets of a bunch of greedy, conscienceless, psychopathic serial killers.

They are not on Santa's "nice" list.

UPDATE: Dec. 17: According to the Montreal Gazette, it was Kent himself who personally denied the Opposition member accreditation, "breaking with the tradition that critics accompany the minister". All the more indicative of his fear of the unexpected due to being tightly scripted.

I disagree with the headline stating that "Democracy is alive and well in Canada's Parliament" because it doesn't matter how loudly the Opposition curses, the Harper crew will continue to do as they please and simply lie a bit more creatively, but I do agree with the characterization of Kent as behaving "like a badly programmed robot".

Maybe no one's told these lap-dummies that there's no peace in Libya, and that some pretty rotten stuff is in the works for Syria and Iran thanks to the help of good, "white", Judaeo/Christian Canadians who apparently believe in peace for only about 24 hours out of the year, if that.

As for Petie (you can dress him up but ...) Mackay, I have two questions: "Syria's not like Libya, you say? What about that no-fly zone?"

There's also no peace in Afghanistan, or Iraq, or Darfur, Sudan, Somalia, the Congo, and certainly not in Bethlehem, thanks to Canadian-supported injustice and all-round mayhem.

I watched your interview with Robert Reich last evening and have just re watched it again online (video: 09:35). Thank you for this.

While I agree with much of what he had to say on banking power and democracy, it seems to me that he couched his opinions and sentiments in far too diplomatic language and appears to deliberately stop short of calling a spade a spade, particularly when speaking of banking's effects on regulation and democracy and the political clout of the banking sector. It appears more and more undeniable that the entire system is cleptocratic (i.e: M F Global, COMEX / LBMA price manipulation, etc.) how else is the rational mind to react BUT with cynicism in light of the abject regulatory inaction and apparent complicity?

Demagogues not withstanding, if you have the stomach for it, I suggest you immediately arrange and conduct an interview(s) of Max Keiser, Wall Street expat, now self-exiled to Paris, for a better picture of the levels of criminality involved, combined with a far more appropriate level of animation and urgency about the situation.

If Mr Reich is as far as you can go for power / political reasons, well good luck to you as you square off in the MSM / alternative media competitive arena. Minds seeking truth will find fodder for it where they can. The venerable old CBC has a proud history of speaking truth to power, bless her and all who sail in her, but when democratic minded people are being forced to go to the mattresses, there is no place for any of us, publicly funded news organs included, resting on our laurels.

The following linked article is long, but very thought-provoking. It describes the living hell that is Libya since "liberation" and what is happening in Libya currently; it also makes some interesting points about white supremacy, its "house negroes" and their negative effect on the whole planet.

The results of the latest climate change conference farce - essentially Europe pushed for the formation of a fund of I can't remember how many billions of dollars to be transferred from Joe Average via taxes to the greedy leaders of developing nations (none of whose Joe Averages will ever see a penny of this fund) and no one seems to notice that money does absolutely nothing to address the cause of so-called climate change.

The fact that it is Europe behind this is significant. Europe - no matter how hard it has tried- has still not achieved statehood and so is still not ready to enter the super power/neo-colonial exploitation race through Africa. Instead they are using the promise of money to buy off corrupt leaders in order to pave the way into exploiting Africa's resources.

Everyday there are more and more tribute videos to Gadhafi from all over Africa - there is such a tremendous void it seems in the Africa continent. Maybe Libya really was the gate and now that it's in disarray there will be a systematic move through the continent. There are many reports that Libyan "rebels" (mercenaries) are organizing in Syria and that NATO troops are organizing on the border between Jordan and Syria.

It seems like the Syrians learned a lot from what happened in Libya and that NATO mercenaries are using the same modus operandi in Syria.The following are two articles that include links to videos claiming to show US death squads at work in neighbourhoods. I can't tell if they are US from the videos but in the first video, the culprit's behaviour was clearly suspicious enough that someone felt it was important to watch him. In the second video there is a sniper terrorizing the neighbourhood and the young man who films him, unfortunately and predictably, gets shot himself.

And then there's this ... Al-Jazeera involved in killing Syrians ... which seems extreme, but could make sense when you understand it was the Emir of Qatar who financed the birth of Aljazeera, and it's owned by the state of Qatar, which is a Wahhabist state bordering on Wahhabist Saudi Arabia (CIA agent Bin Laden was a Wahhabist and "Al Qaeda" flies its flag over Libya). Like the Saudis, according to FT Magazine: Qatar hosts US military facilities and the emir is a valued guest at the White House.

I remember when Al Jazeera English TV first started and very early on they said that they would be stressing their coverage about the global economy and weather because they felt that these topics were going to become increasingly important. At the time I had no idea why and thought it strange that they would do this.

This was before the 2008 crash and before climate change became a global government issue. The Emir and his wife felt it was important to offer the world a balanced viewpoint on important issues and they touted Canadian journalism as the example they would try to follow - after all, the Canadian news was admired worldwide for being balanced, fair and professional ... (uhhhh, ok).

Saudi Arabia and Qatar are players in the New World Order. Iran is completely surrounded now by US military bases and NATO allies and another explosion has occurred in an Iranian facility. It's all just a matter of time, I guess. I keep hoping for something to derail the whole thing.

Newt Gingrich just keeps hauling his steadily burgeoning girth into the spotlight, and sooner or later he always burps out something utterly revolting. But he knows the right butts to kiss, so watch for larger things from him to come.

As for his Christian naysayers, his philanderous nature has been graciously admitted to and forgiven him by God hisself, so they have been rendered effectively mute.

Unfortunately for him, Herman Cain's dalliances cannot be forgiven, first of all because he denies them, and also because some of his hands-on ministrations were allegedly unwanted. So he's been fried and served up on a platter to the Newt, both of them God-fooling critters.

What did Herman's mother say? Oh yes,"success [is] not a function of what you start out with materially, but what you start out with spiritually"

So it stands to reason that failure is a function of where you end up spiritually.

It's a shame about Cain; all things considered, he's the most epitomal American, riz up from nowt to become influential with icons such as Coca-Cola, Burger King, Godfather's Pizza, Nabisco and Reader's Digest. Cain understands the very heart of the American people, located somewhere in the cushions of their couches, and yet here he is, reduced to glad-handing a Newt.

Hmmm ... I wonder ... Bill Clinton plays the saxaphone (video) and look what happened to him. Maybe it pays not to be musical if you want to be a president. (Gee, now I'm wondering if we might have heard him wrong; maybe he didn't lie; maybe he said he didn't have sax with Lewinsky.)

Ron Paul obviously isn't in the cauldron. Just look at him. He's wearing the dark suit and white shirt okay, but his tie is all wrong and there's no pin in his lapel. He may be doing well in Iowa, but he's got a long ways to go.

Now look at Perry and Romney. They aren't the opponents they pretend to be. Baptist versus Mormon, perhaps, but looking, smiling, and gesturing so much alike it's difficult to choose which is bat, which is dog.

To assist in that regard, they've obviously put their heads together, flipped a coin maybe, and decided who would wear the red and who the blue tie. So there's your key.

Bats' eyes appear red but Rick Perry might not know it's only because of light reflection. A bat's motto is: "Turn on the dark, I'm afraid of the light!" Link. They're blind as ... and nobody likes them because you never know where a bat will fly to next (he used to be a Democrat).

Feel adventurous? An anonymous commenter has provided a link to a video that led to more videos that will simply explode your mind. But do try to keep it open, because not everything in these films adds up completely.

I do feel vindicated, however, in suspecting that Steven Greer, of the so-called "Disclosure Project" and incorporated collector of information on people who research alternative energy, is a fraud, and these videos make the case that many of his witnesses are actors as well.

The Buddhists, however, are right; life is illusion, and that's reality.

And in case it's hard for you to believe, consider why we are no longer shown any photos of the Norway shooter, and the earlier ones look radically different from each other. Then realize that many photos you see accompanying news items are from archives, and don't represent the person being discussed as they are at the present moment.

Remember how the BBC showed Indian protesters and said they were Libyan ones? Well now, in a deliberate "mistake", FOX news has reportedly shown old footage of Greek protesters throwing rocks, bottles and molotov cocktails in an attempt to discredit Russians who are turning out in massive numbers against election fraud. Putin says the West wants him out and organized the protests to that end. The participants are said to be well dressed and respectable, which one might think would carry more weight than a bunch of rock-throwing rabble.

So why would they show the protesters as mindlessly violent rather than intelligent? It seems they are really messing with the minds of the public here. Not to mention that there seems to be collusion between the two principle players to consolidate their personal power.

This is not to say that the Greeks did those violent things, either. The culprits could well have been agents provocateurs from one source or another.

Joni Mitchell got it right with Both Sides Now. We really don't know life at all.

Notice how the Obama administration was not blamed outright for the heel-dragging, but rather that the US citizens don't beleeeeeve in climate change. Fortunately, for him, Obama's expertise lies in being able to smooth-talk both sides, so it's pretty obvious that the Globe and Mail is only pretending to be surprised that former media personality elevated to Environment Minister Peter Kent has suddenly become less resistant as well.

I look better in a dark suit and tie

Governments seem to be made up of a motley crew of mostly dull-minded people whose main claim to ability is in their gift of gab and, above all, their ability to brazen out just about any setback, accusation, misstep or downright falsehood.

Judging from what we read in the media, people are Ministers of the Environment who haven't been near a science lab since high school, if then, and don't have a clue what they're talking about, nor do they even question what they're talking about. They apparently read catch phrases off cue cards and concentrate on their acting abilities.

It may well be true that cyclical global warming is occurring, although I've yet to personally experience any direct evidence of it, being quite able to recall going on seven decades of weather which hasn't altered appreciably over that time. In my first decade of life there was a year when it rained all through the Christmas holidays. During that same decade there were winters when we made huge snow forts and slid down hills on our Christmas sleds while our freezing snot turned our scarves into solid objects. Since then the weather has offered pretty much the same sort of variety.

It sure doesn't do anything for the credibility of climate science when everything starts from the premise that global warming is a reality and CO2 is the culprit, and developing nations are the victims of the most powerful nations who refuse to get their act together. It's like saying hell is a reality and Satan is the enemy and we are to blame if we end up in his clutches (and not the church leaders who routinely set terrible examples). Global warming has become a religion, for pete's sake, and nobody questions religion except damnable heretics such as moi.

It strikes me, with good reason I think, that if the largest nations thought their interests were in any way affected by CO2 they would immediately become bosom buddies and bomb the rest of the world into compliance. "Developing nations" are victims, alright, but I doubt their problems are coming from inaction on CO2; there are more sinister forces at work to keep them from safety, freedom and independence.

Scripted ministers prate on about "poor nations" who are "already paying the price of climate change and want action now" when their populations are just as confused about the issues as the rest of us, and their so-called leaders don't even know their weather history - or worse, do know but are exploiting the catchall of global warming for their own purposes. For example:

Environment Minister Herman Rosa Chavez, said a tropical depression two months ago flooded 10 percent of El Salvador and caused losses of $840 million

The impression left is that this was caused by "climate change", yet the World Weather Post, who should know the historical statistics, can only say that the El Salvador flood is "among" its worst in history - not its worst at all.

Have island nations experienced "rising sea levels" before in their history? Nobody bothers to show research for that; they simply assume it is due to "global warming".

And then there's this:

"We went from being impacted by one extreme weather event per decade in the 1960s and 1970s, to nine in the last 10 years"

No evidence is presented of any investigation into how many occurred in the decades preceding the 60s and 70s. In other words, any possibly cyclical extreme weather event is automatically attributed to global warming, despite the very same media that shriek global warming having also produced this:

Previous studies have produced a mean value around 3C; but the new analysis concludes it is somewhat lower, around 2.3C.

That last one sounds as if there is going to be a gradual backing off of blaming CO2, and this may be why the US (and naturally also Canada) doesn't want to commit to anything long term.

Military solution to Native poverty conditions?

To me, that flag pretty much says it all. Although I do wish I understood why there is this continual deprivation among so many of our aboriginal people. I realize these are modern times and living in a teepee is considered the depth of poverty, but it seems the natives were better off when they all lived that way before the invasion of the "whites". That teepee is kind of brave and beautiful looking compared to the hypocrisy of government that the tattered flag so aptly represents.

I feel sorry for Harper's kids; I can just hear him saying, "What did you do with the last dollar I gave you?" There are photos showing long-overdue work being done on the hospital, and the staff housing looks liveable though certainly frill-less, and knowing how government contracts work these projects could easily have eaten up the $90 million that was given to the Attawapiskat community five years ago. Asking for an accounting now is a bit late and is no help to people who have to get through the winter.

My gawd, when they start asking the UN to get involved, they must be pretty desperate. The UN has already declared an annual International Day of the World's Indigenous People; what more could they possibly expect?

This is not just a local problem; this is widespread among native communities dominated by government agents. The answer is quite simple to a building expert: "Stop building crap." But that's what government contractors do - everywhere, even in Afghanistan - charge high prices for crap.

We've got Canadians making missionary working jaunts all over the world for Habitat for Humanity - why has it taken so long for that organization to even begin to focus on our native communities?

There are volunteers busy right now donating and laying sod in St. James Park at no cost to the City of Toronto, but where is the enthusiasm for making sure that native children grow up in conditions that will help ensure their health, a good education and self-sufficiency as adults?

It takes a lot of ingenuity to construct a liveable teepee; surely if provided with high quality materials the residents can help improve conditions for themselves.

Send in the military? That just gives me the shivers. Harper should never be given any encouragement to call in the military.

The current Governor of the Bank of Canada, Mark Carney, is a Goldman Sachs disciple, and has of course had his way smoothed by establishment publications like Time Magazine and the blatantly conservative Reader's Digest who named him "Most Trusted Canadian" just in case you had any doubts.

Readers Digest, by the way, is now owned by Ripplewood Holdings founded by Tim Collins, a Bilderberg darling, as is Stephen Harper and other Canadians (Last year, the meeting was in Greece. Now, Greece is burning). At least one Goldman Sachs representative is on the Steering Cttee of the Bilderberg group.

Carney is also the new Chair of the Financial Stability Board (FSB) in charge of global financial institutions, his predecessor having been Mario Draghi, now president of the European Central Bank, and a former Goldman Sachs Vice Chair and Managing Director. Draghi is also a fellow of the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard from which Michael Ignatieff was dispatched to destroy Canada's federal Liberal Party.

These guys, no matter what their nationality, mostly studied at Yale, Oxford, Princeton, Harvard or a combination. It's an incestuous club at the helm. There oughta be a law, eh? Yet despite (or because of) the collective wisdom of their hive minds* and hands-on ministration, things are not looking good:

People are being led to think that it's Canada making an impact on the world, when really it's Goldman Sachs.

Sane people screen their phone calls to avoid market surveys and sales pitches, so it's not difficult to guess the overall acuity of the respondents to assess doublespeak. Speaking of same, take a look at Harper on the subject of global governance and Canadian sovereignty (video).

Say, why do you suppose Harper is learning to speak Spanish? Once the North American Union becomes obvious to all, will he be rewarded by being appointed Governor of the new Bank of North America?

* One indication of their loss of individuality is in the way they all dress in dark suits, shiny dark shoes, white shirts and red or blue ties - and the people they kill off don't.

The Deception of Media and Surprise Prediction at End

Lucilla: I dunno ... I was first interested in this video because it was talking about the deception in the American media - and it addresses that well and is worth watching and posting, I suppose.

But the last minute or so is a clip from none other than Gerald Celente who says that by the new year, the US government will no longer be able to hide the economic collapse and will install martial law (which I guess explains the recent legislation enabling the US to arrest its citizens and hold and torture them in detention without charge. (Jeepers, since the US and Canada just revealed that there will be US police active in Canada, this may include Canadian citizens as well.) He says get your money out now and make sure you have gold.

I have no idea at all what will happen to the Canadian dollar if the US dollar tanks. Best to keep some cash and stock up on food and essentials (any excess could be used for trading, I suppose).

Normally, I don't listen to all the fear-mongering but Celente has been pretty successful - because of his intelligence or his contacts or because he's a shill, I don't know. At the very least, people do tend to listen to him and if he says take your money out, people will and the collapse will become a self-fulfilled prophecy.

YYC: Just a few days ago, Finance Minister Flaherty was worrying out loud about Europe causing a "global contagion". What he's saying, without saying, is that things are going to get worse in Canada, and he doesn't want the Harpo crew to take the blame for it.

Unemployment is slowly rising. Here's a list of the rates in various locales. Look at Barrie and Windsor. Are they harbingers?

It all makes me think that there really is going to be war on Iran. Wars combined with depression ensure no shortage of willing enlisters. Children will be as fatherless as I was because of the "dirty thirties" that caused men to enlist for WWII.

I guess we'll know we're an enlighted race when we stop repeating history.

Iran has just shot down a US drone, and apparently it isn't the first time, if we can believe anything coming out of the media. And if it's true that Britain, Norway, Germany, Italy, Sweden and the Netherlands are withdrawing their amabssadors from Tehran, you have to think that NATO must be gearing up for an all-out assault on Iran.

Joe Biden says Iran didn't orchestrate the invasion of the UK embassy by "protesters". They sure didn't look like angry students to me, so somebody staged it for sure. How about MI6?

All it will take is one missile fired in the direction of Israel. Apparently those mysterious explosions have not been sufficient to provoke the hoped-for response, yet. But why Israel would want to bait Iran over nuclear weapons it may or may not have in the future is an even greater mystery, especially since Iran has plenty of conventional weaponry that could easily reach Israel. Why would Israel want to commit suicide? A whole state becoming a suicide bomber? None of this makes any sense.

Unless, as Lucilla suggests, it's all self-fulfilling prophecy. "We are victims, and we will show you just how victimized we can be."

Or there are psychopathic megalomanics running the show, envisioning Israel ultimately being in control of the whole Middle East. The Israeli people, who will surely be sacrificed in this effort, should be out in the streets, en masse, in protest over any suggestion of what this all can lead to. What's being put into their water, I wonder?

Like Lucilla, I have to shake my head and say "I dunno..."

But you're dead wrong about the "real reason" Canada has to be the scapegoat - it's because we can't fight back, and China can. It's an age-old commie trick called Sexpionage:

It's just a wild, wild fantasy that foreign agents are trying to "steal our ideas". On the contrary, it's to buy compliance. China is saying: don't badmouth us and we won't tell all about you.

China has probably deduced that the reason there's so much explicit sex on western TV and in the movies is because there's a backlash against religious sexual repression that's so effective booze and pills have to be consumed to lower inhibitions, thereby producing an equal quantity of guilt and self-loathing the next morning. And we sure don't like to think our "leaders" are as weak and filthy as we are. We feel reassured by the associations of Billy Graham and Jesse Jackson with the White House, and the political prayer meetings, and the fact that so many of our Canadian politicians claim to be devout Christians.

Little wonder then that, when discretions are revealed in high places, a high percentage of us are eager to explain it all away (it's not our beloved pastor's fault he got caught with his pants down; it's because that Jezebel parishioner wouldn't leave him alone). Blind spots are carefully cultivated to preserve the necessary illusion that upstanding, worthy role models are in charge of things.

For instance, I couldn't help noticing the multiple blindspots of Carleton University's President Runte when she cited Bill Clinton's support of Israeli Apartheid as a justification for her own support of it. (She also cited Colin Powell who told the lie that led the US into the Iraq war; maybe she just can't put two and two together?)

Unfortunately, Clinton is most famous for the "The Bill Clinton" which is not the nickname of a new type of saxaphone or even a dance step, but of a certain physical condition of which, thanks to Willy's Oval Office activities, we are now all too keenly aware.

He's been a good, compliant boy ever since, though. The kind of guy even a GWB could wipe his hands on. And there are plenty more like him out there; you can take that to the bank.

If he is declared criminally insane and sentenced to closed psychiatric care, a judge will review his sentence every three years.

If he recovers from his illness, he could theoretically be transferred to a prison if he were considered a threat to society. He could also be released if the opposite scenario were to present itself.

What? Did we ask too many questions? Will any of them be asked in court?

This tends to confirm for me my own earlier speculation:

In early 2009 Vince Li was diagnosed as insane and has been cared for in a psychiatric facility. Last year on his doctor's advice he was allowed to have walks outside. This year doctors are recommending a reduction in supervision while he is outside. We're not seeing any recent photos of him either. Would he be recognizable if he were returned to, or escaped to, the street?

I'm not against help for the insane, and certainly not against justice for victims of mind control experiments, but are there no psychiatrists who can tell the difference between the two - and have the guts to say so?

We've got threats of nukes, Russia and the US sabre rattling, Pakistan and the US facing off, everyone ganging up on Syria, the global economy seemingly falling into recession, the euro on the verge of collapse, threats of water and food scarcity.

I am beginning to think that this is less about any real threat (including the nuke threat, by the way) and more about scaring the sh*t out of the public and the politically weak countries of the world enough to make everyone demand global government in order to bring order and make things fairer.

I suppose to really drive it home there will have to be at least one nuclear event. Good grief.

That's a pretty serene photo. Attali looks almost pleased. I looked him up on Wikipedia and found this:

I don't know but I get the feeling that all this chaos is mere theatre - everyone in the club doing his/her part for the final push to global government.

Remember that video interview with George Green where he decribed what he claims to be the intended path of the elite? First global government and then massive kill-offs to reduce population. Which makes sense - even though some other stuff he says is pretty off-the-wall - because with a central power they can legislate whatever they want. With global government they could universally implement Codex with a stroke of a pen. They could impose taxes, ID chipping, whatever.

I think right now could be a really important moment in the history of humanity - and I think we are being conned through fear to demand a central authority to save the planet from chaos and destruction.

I'm wondering - is it time to call them on this? I mean is it time to tell them "We know what you want and we know you are unlikely to stop harassing and terrifying us until you get what you want - so here's the deal, you can have global government but on our terms."

Now what those terms are I haven't a clue because we live in a corrupted global society and there is no reason for anyone to trust any government much less a global one. I wonder if the only form of government that would be acceptable would be a style like (how ironic) the Libyan Jamahiriya (video) or direct democracy - where the people decide what they need and what should happen. I wonder if this could work on a global scale. Certainly all the disgruntled wannabe "leader" types would try to sabotage it.

I don't know if I would be up for a task like this, but it might be a good moment for "awakened people" all over the world to start working on a people's global democracy manifesto that will attempt to avoid the pitfalls of representative democracy.

David Heap and Ehab Lotayef spent five days in an Israeli prison following the boarding and seizure of their vessel, the Tahrir, on its way to Gaza to deliver medical supplies. Along with twenty-four fellow members on two boats, the Canadian Tahrir and the Irish Soarise, they were attempting to break the Israeli naval blockade of Gaza. The Israeli navy intercepted the two boats in international waters and forced them, along with their crews, to Ashdod in Israel.

"David Heap and Ehab Lotayef are political prisoners," commented Denis Kosseim, spokesman for the mission. "They have broken no laws. On the contrary, it is Israel that has contravened international maritime law. Israel is guilty of piracy."

An offer by the Israeli army to deliver the goods to Gaza overland through an Israeli city was summarily rejected by the organizers in order to underline that the naval blockade is illegal.

Vancouverite Karen de Vito was the third Canadian on the boat, but was released soon after reaching Israel. According to an Israeli Army spokesperson, the boats, "tried to break the maritime security blockade legitimately imposed by Israel in accordance with international law." He added that the operation was carried out "peacefully" and that nobody had been wounded. This is contradicted by the crew members who described rough treatment, the confiscation of all cameras and communication equipment, several searches, including one strip search, and the tasering of one member, David Heap, by the Israeli forces.

Mr. Kosseim has demanded the return of the hijacked boats as well as all the equipment that was confiscated. "Otherwise," he said, "it is simple theft. There are limits to invoking national security as an alibi. There has been a deterioration of the humanitarian situation in Gaza. As long as Israel refuses to lift the siege of Gaza there will be more boats heading there." That said, he added, "our actions will continue to be non-violent."

Europe’s Crisis Creating Global ‘Contagion,’ Flaherty Says

Canadian Finance Minister Jim Flaherty says Europe’s debt crisis is creating “contagion” outside the region and policy makers must act while the situation can still be “stabilized.”

“Again today, we are staring a crisis in the face,” Flaherty said at a speech today in Toronto. “The crisis remains far from resolved.”

When he says "policy makers" he's talking about their policy makers, not ours. Instead of watching Canada's finances he thinks other countries need to be "supervised by outside parties".

This is one of those few times that the Harperists aren't talking about "sovereignty" as if such a thing actually still exists.

The impression I'm getting from Flaherty's apparent candor is that Canada is on the skids and he can't do anything about it except try to shift the blame in advance.

Libya: symbolic of everything?

Nov. 27: 2 PM: News about Saif Al Islam Gadhaffi & the demands from Zentan
"The Green Army sent a 25 member delegation of doctors, nurses, negotiating team, councillors and neutral Jamahiriyah federation chiefs to Zentan with a private jet to visit Saif. The Zentan brigades laid a series of demands for prisoner exchange or extradition ... "

If this exchange is successful, Saif will be back with the Green army (the Libyan resistance) and the Zentan will be re-incorporated into the green army. This certainly could be good news for Saif - he has a serious injury - he lost the ends of 2 fingers and a thumb on his right hand sometime ago and the wound, although clean and bandaged, has become gangrenous and he needs to have the dead tips amputated. There are no facilities for this kind of operation in Zentan, so the sooner this deal goes through the sooner he can be treated elsewhere.

If Saif ends up in the hands of the NTC they will likely try him and kill him, so I suppose the Green army will hide him.

TNC Leadership cannot remain in Tripoli, because of BelHaj's Alqaeda, and they're not even safe in Benghazi - So they are to be found in Malta or Turkey! There will be a major battle in Tripoli in the next few weeks. And that is why there is a news blackout.

NATO is continuing to bomb Libya illegally! There is no government in Libya - "leaders" are hiding out in Malta and Turkey. There are only tribal governments active and Al Qaida in Tripoli. This explains why Saif is still in Zintan.

American democracy has come to Libya

I just can't seem to let go of Libya. The brutal invasion and the cruel death of Gadhafi I think - without being too melodramatic - have changed me forever. I never before fully understood how war really is, how it is conducted, how nasty, dirty, brutal and psychopathic it really is.

I've watched through so many videos now exposing the carnage and brutality - things that if I had only heard about them I would never have been able to accept as real. I really feel that for the first time I have seen the absolute worst of humanity. I still have hopes, though, that somehow good and truth will win in the end.

Maybe Libya is some kind of analogy for the fight against whatever NWO or elitist agenda is unfolding all around. I hope for that too to be derailed by goodness and truth. A couple of encouraging signs:

Poor man - NATO clearly needs him controlled or dead before he reveals what he knows. I hope he has kept a record and that it is in safe hands somewhere.

There's an online petition on his behalf. I haven't signed because I sincerely feel it will do no good. Clearly Saif's fate is in his own hands. If he can find people he can trust to pass on what he knows - especially emphasizing the fact that the ICC is in the hands of NATO members and that, in fact, the only true enemy of Libyans is NATO (namely Britain, France and the US) - he may be able to gain support.

The petition says that he is in the hands of the NTC now. The NTC knows what the ICC expects them to do but I think they also know that killing or imprisoning Saif would be unacceptable to the vast majority of Libyans.

Regardless of what Libyans may have felt about his father, Saif is clearly loved and respected by many people. He seems a very honest man with very good intentions and most decent people recognize that. It would be difficult to punish a person like that through a kangaroo court.

At the same time, it seems that Abdullah Al-Senoussi, head of the Libyan Intelligence Service under Gadhafi, has been reported to be "at large" which may bode well for Saif.

Interesting that it was claimed that Senoussi was caught the day after Saif. The next day I saw a tweet claiming that the town he was being held in was attacked. Today, the UN claims there is no evidence that Senoussi was ever caught in the first place and the Tripoli post says that "sources" told them that Senoussi died - with no further information. I wonder, did he escape?

Attacks against NATO mercenaries reported in Sabha and Bani Walid

According to reports from Libyan Resistance, at least 20 NATO Mercenaries killed in Bani Walid and around 30 in Sabha. In Bani Walid two armed vehicles were destroyed and at least 20 fighters killed when their convoy was hit from hidden locations. In Sabha a large bus carrying fighters was blown up, it is yet unclear whether an IED was responsible or a missile.

This comes as NATO has unveiled an occupying regime, important positions have been given to NATO agents, such as finance ministry, head of the military, oil ministry, foreign ministry…

Protests was reported in Benghazi, Tripoli and other towns soon after the declaration of the regime, NATO Mercenaries used live rounds to quickly disperse the protests. It is not clear whether anyone has been killed in the crackdowns against protesters."

Can't say for sure this is true, but I do know that Senoussi was at first reported to have been caught in Sabha. Later there were unconfirmed reports of attacks in Sabha. Then the UN declared there was no proof Senoussi had ever been caught in the first place. Then the Tripoli Post said he was dead. Hmmm ... you never know, but it really sounds like Senoussi was helped to escape.

Two people on Tuesday pleaded guilty to counselling mischief and counselling to obstruct police at last year's G20 summit in Toronto. Another four people also pleaded guilty to counselling mischief.

Note that Jaggi Singh turned himself in and pleaded guilty in April to counselling mischief, but he in no way regrets encouraging protesters to tear down a police barrier. And it really doesn't matter what Singh (associated with No One is Illegal) did at the G20; he is a police target as a matter of course at any rally because the cops still have this crazy idea that if they take out a leader they will weaken the protest.

What the CBC article omits is that Singh likes to get his charges dealt with quickly because he has other things to do.

What is also often not understood is that anarchists are not generally advocates of either chaos or utopia; they strive to live and operate freely within the reality of their current existence. Singh talks about that in this video.

Best known for launching tear gas

I must re-read Aldous Huxley's "Island" because about the only thing, but perhaps the most important, that has stayed with me from reading it long years ago is what the large black bird advised: "Here and now, boys; here and now, boys."

Another Huxley concept etched on my brain is that one should not seek Nirvana on a secluded island but rather learn to live in London without being a Cockney. (That might seem discriminatory in this day and age, but in Huxley's era you wouldn't want to meet up with a true Cockney on a dark street. See definitions #1 and #4 here.)

There are lots of reasons why CBC readers may not be satisfied with the results of the arrests, but little of it likely has to do with how it all boiled down to just a few dedicated activists out of more than a thousand arrests. Much of it has to do with what the cops have so far still been allowed to get away with (video playlist).
