US defence chief warns on Iran strike
US Defence Secretary Leon Panetta said an attack on Iran's nuclear facilities might delay its alleged nuclear program by only up to three years ... it might not result in "really deterring Iran from what they want to do"..."You've got to be careful of unintended consequences" ..."It could have a serious impact in the region and it could have a serious impact on US forces in the region."

Mr. Barak, quoted in a June Wikileaks-released cable: estimated a window between six and 18 months from now in which stopping Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons might still be viable. "After that, any military solution would result in unacceptable collateral damage".
Collateral, meaning Israelis and hundreds of US bases scattered throughout the Middle East and Europe.
(By the way, the news in 2003 that the US ended its military presence in Saudi Arabia looks to me to be only Rumsfeldian propaganda designed to reinforce the story that Bin Laden did 9/11 and the "hijackers" were mostly Saudis.)

When we start hearing sickenly ugly stories about Iran/Ahmadinejad comparable to the incubator lie (Canadian TV video) about Saddam Hussein, we'll know they're all set to begin the war.

It's amazing that, because of FOX and CNN, even America's most ignorant and useless trailer trash is able to feel superior to the "ragheads" living in Iran.

And besides, Petie Mackay's chronic myopia has him worried (he says "Canada is concerned") about "many of the alarmist and very threatening words that have been directed toward Israel in the past and in recent days", and is looking forward to receiving Mr. Barak's wisdom in this matter when he visits Canada next week, having none of his own to offer.

The irony of Canada participating in any military action is that people like Peter Mackay and Stephen Harper are faking being members of parliament.
Neither one has followed the procedure laid out in British North America Act 1867 to become a member of parliament.
In fact they work for CANADA ( not Canada) which is a corporation with headquarters in Washington DC.
They are British subjects, as are all people who call themselves Canadian Citizens. The term Canadian Citizen came into use in 1947 but most people are unaware that the 1948 British Nationality Act (UK) states that commonwealth citizen has the same meaning as British subject. The more recent updates to British law did not change this, although they shove it into the background.
The British Empire is alive and well and expanding into Libya, Syria, Iran, Venezuela and all of Africa. Eventually Russia, China and India-Pakistan will be on the list. By deception they still rule.
I begin to believe the plans for a deliberate catastrophic collapse to be credible. Which net exporting nation (other than Russia) isn't under the thumb of the corporatists? If this does happen expect oil to double or triple overnight and the world's economy grind to a halt. Don't expect those who bring this about will give a damn for you or your family, your city or your country they don't. YOU AIN'T IN THE CLUB.
What disappoints and gives me the shudders, is that the entire gov't backed bombing Libya, with the exception of newly-elected Elizabeth May of the Green Party.
Since when has any gov't been unanimous on anything? I'm taking a second look at the NDP and the rest. Just puppets to the Pentagon, perhaps?

It's been my contention that our whole government has been hijacked by the global agenda. In the last three federal elections I've voted for fringe parties simply because they are free to tell the truth. Right now Elizabeth May has little to lose; but we'd see her change her tune if she ever got a real foothold in the House and wanted to keep it.
The government has been unanimous on Israel for quite some time now. And yes, the murder of Gadhafi was a gross symptom of the very sickness I described in my blog post.
They truly don't give a damn for the people they claim to represent, except to pay lip service in an election year.
