(1) Pig tales ...

Earlier I said that if Evan Frustaglio is turned into a poster child for the promotion of H1N1 vaccine, we may never learn of any underlying conditions that may have contributed to his death - including what other vaccines he had received that may have interfered with his body's normal defences.

Well, take a look at yesterday's Yahoo News (and thanks to Ted for the heads-up):

Click on the image to enlarge it.

As much as I sympathize with his parents, this is an insult to all the other kids who died completely unnoticed by the media - because there was nothing to be gained from it? - as a result of complications of seasonal flu, and any others who succumb to H1N1.

Ted comments:
This from the WHO: Data on immunogenicity in children older than 6 months and younger than 10 years are limited and more studies are needed.

But what the hell, they're going to give them anyway.

And this from the Finnish Health Minister (video) who is pretty much anti vaccine.
YYC: Actually, Rauni Kilde is a former provincial medical officer of health, and she's considered a kook by her detractors because of her interest in UFOs and microchip mind control, so I've previously hesitated to point her out. But I'm making an exception here because what she says about vaccines is quite practical and to the point.

Besides, if you scratched a lot of public figures you'd probably be shocked a their hidden - shall we say "eccentric?" - views. Who would have thought, for instance, that the whole time Paul Hellyer was Minister of National Defence in Lester Pearson's Liberal government that he's a UFO believer. (Come to think of it, if UFOs are a reality, who best to know it but some government officials?)

So far, Canadians are not being forced to get the vaccine, but Ted has heard they have to sign a waiver saying they will not sue GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) - the sole source for Canada's vaccine supply, although apparently that is now regretted (publicly anyway) - for any adverse reactions to the shot. In a quick search, I've been unable to verify that. If any reader can confirm, please let us know.

In the United States: From Vaccine Liberation: All states allow a medical exemption and some states allow philosophical and/or religious exemptions. However, the American Medical Association and ChildrensHealthCare.org are actively promoting the abolishment of religious and philosophical exemptions.

Thanks to Margaret for the following video links:

(a) Len Horowitz deconstructs Oprah Winfrey's celebrity doctor Dr. Oz's fear-mongering about Swine flu.

Margaret comments:
An interesting point he makes -- that when hospitalized swine flu sufferers develop respiratory problems or if this advances into pneumonia, they are given a vaccine - pneumovax - plus any "appropriate drugs" to treat the condition. If you get swine flu best stay out of the hospital.

(b) BELL TOLLING for the Swine Flu (CAMPANAS por la gripe A) subtitled

Margaret comments:
Teresa Forcades is a Catalan Nun with an extensive medical background living in the monastery of Sant Benet, Monserrat, Barcelona.
YYC: Here is a Babelfish translation of the Wikipedia bio for Forcades, and here is a blog article that states, among other things, that she's in trouble with the Vatican (she's a feminist).

I've heard that Spain is planning to vaccinate all kids under 14 in order to produce "herd immunity", but I'm still looking for the documentation on that.

(2) Greedy pig tales ...

Thanks to "BeeSting":

How Goldman secretly bet on the U.S. housing crash
WASHINGTON — In 2006 and 2007, Goldman Sachs Group peddled more than $40 billion in securities backed by at least 200,000 risky home mortgages, but never told the buyers it was secretly betting that a sharp drop in U.S. housing prices would send the value of those securities plummeting.

YYC: If 9/11, the Swine Flu, and the global economic crunch are not all designed for maximum panic and confusion while greedy corporate schemes are played out under our noses, then entities like Goldman Sachs are missing out on a couple of great opportunities. And I doubt they are. Were they also one of the never-named entities who helped create the surge in the put-options just prior to 9/11?
